I gave this hairdryer 5 stars because it is sturdy, looks and feels like high quality, the price is right and based on my experience with Remington products, it would have been a keeper if not for my problematic shoulder! But it's very comfortable to hold and operate. **Q: Can you take the the front pinky plastic protector off the front?** A: No, the pink plastic bit is what holds all of the attachments in place. **Q: Has it got a uk plug on it ?** A: Yes, it has a UK plug. Also, it's the best heated brush I've ever used. **Q: Is it stopping when it’s hot while using?** A: I've not experienced that but it's probably a cut out switch/element in the dryer when it gets over heated. Like most heating products, this should resolve itself once the dryer has cooled down for a short while.
