This filter should screw directly into the tank and the other end will connect to your 10mm oil pipe. It has everything you need in the package. **Q: hi I have an oil pipe going into a little used flavel fire that has ruptured and the plastic filter crucible has craked as well. will this work?** A: This is designed to fit an oil tank - the male fitting is very large. You are probably better off with a smaller ball valve and do you need a filter if there is one already at the tank valve? **Q: What is the total length of this? I’m a bit limited on space from tank to a wall.** A: about 250mm or 8" in total length. the nipples\unions on the end of it take a lot of the space the filter housing itself is only 4-5 " long **Q: Hi To connect the 10mm pipe do you simply fit an olive over the pipe and tighten the nut supplied ? Thanks** A: Yes. Push pipe into fitting with olive and nut on it then tighten it up. Turn valve on check for leaks.
