My son is 4 and autistic. He loves to flick on all the lights in the house. These light guards are perfect! They keep him from turning on the lights, he hasn't figured it out yet and we've had them for about 5 months now. I put them on every switch I don't want him to have access to. Easily installed. They look good too because they're clear and not obvious.

These light switch covers work. My toddler kept turning the lights on and off and once we put these on, they had to find something better to do. There does seem to be some inconsistency in how easy the cover opens/closes. Pros: Effective: Completely stopped the constant light flipping. Durable: One cover has been bumped into several times while open and hasn’t snapped or cracked. Cons: Inconsistent Tension: There’s some variation between units. Some covers slide up and down very freely, while others have enough tension to stay in a set position. Overall, I'd recommend these covers to anyone that is looking for a way to stop their kids from messing with the lights.

I purchased these to keep family members from flipping switches connected to motion detection lights. Easy to install. Comes with longer screws, which you’ll need. It’s convenient to be able to open the cover as needed without having to unscrew the entire unit. It is compatible with my single, double and triple wall switch units, while not interfering with the other switches on the unit. The pictorial instructions weren’t very clear for me as to how to open the unit once installed, but I figured it out. I don’t consider myself mechanically impaired, so I’m not sure how toddlers are purportedly figuring it out so quickly.

I bought these in clear because I thought they would be a little less distracting, but they are still pretty noticeable. They aren't by any means ugly though. We bought these because our youngest suddenly discovered they could reach the light switch and made it a priority to turn off the lights or flick them on and off rapidly which is often the reset for smart lighting (And is a pain to repair). Simply take out the screw from your existing cover and install with the longer screw that comes with it. Removing it is just easy. Just do it in reverse. It's intuitive enough to use, but intentionally difficult for a younger child to use. Overall, it is serving its function well.

Worked on a single switch plate and on the double. Comes with longer screws you'll need since the cover is thick. Took less than a minute to install.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It fit perfectly over the middle switch on a three-switch plate without interfering with the switches on either side, which was a pleasant surprise. Even fits over the dimmer switch. You don’t often come across a product that just works as advertised, but this one does. It even includes longer screws to account for the slight extra thickness added to the plate, which shows some thoughtful design. Solid, no-nonsense product.

Bought this to a cover an isolator switch for garage door opener. Works perfectly in that the switch is protected by the cover so cannot be accidentally switched on or off. One has to slide a little spring loaded tab at the bottom of the cover to allow the cover to be opened, a very neat idea.

I got these as I have two smart light bulbs in my one room, and my wife kept walking into the room and flicking the switch to turn the lights on/off instead of telling Alexa to turn them on/off. Works well, covers the switch so you can't accidentally flick it, but has a latch to lift the cover up if you have a need to use the actual light switch. For the price, can't complain at all. I wish they came in black (my light switch cover is black), but I painted one of these and it turned out fine.

I got these less as baby proofing and more just a way to keep myself from automatically shutting off smart lights, and it's good for that. Glad it came with longer screws! Definitely needed them. My only beef is with the plastic catch. I can't latch the thing closed because the screw is kind of in the way, even after i screwed it down as far as it would go. Still, it does what i need it to do and if i put in more smart lights I'll probably get more of these.
