Highly recommend!
I absolutely love my Ahopegarden Hydroponics Growing System Kit! Setup was quick and straightforward, even for someone new to hydroponics. I’ve planted 4 plants so far and every single one is growing beautifully with no issues at all. The LED lights are bright and adjustable, the water circulation is quiet, and the system feels sturdy and well-made. I also appreciate how compact it is—it fits perfectly on my counter without taking up much space. If you’re looking for an easy, efficient way to grow herbs or small plants indoors year-round, this system is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Great little system
I liked my first one so much I bought a second one 3 months later. I was a little intimidated at first but the instructions are clear. It made the set up easy. It’s been great for seed starting. Germination is so fast compared to other seed starting methods and I can physically tell the difference between a hydro started vegetable and one directly sown. Ive grown little gem lettuce, Dino kale, curly kale, cilantro, basil and arugula. I’m starting my spring time tomatoes right now. They’ve only been sitting there for 4 days and it looks like I’ll have 100% germination. Gotta give it a couple more days though to be sure. I’m thinking about ditching most outdoor traditional gardening and getting a bigger system so I don’t have to worry about garden pests anymore.

Fun and easy to use, just maybe not quite the end result they picture
Works great, but just know how it’s presented in the product photos might not be realistic. While it might be somehow possible to grow things as large as presented, I found that it’s not really how I found myself using this. This product is excellent for starting seeds and getting them to germinate into nice small plants. From there, I transplant them into roughly 4” diameter pots and keep those on a shelf with grow lights. After maybe 3 months, I finally move the potted plants into a back yard garden. Trying to actually grow plants as large as pictured is sort of impossible because of crowding on top and below, where the roots would get all tangled and probably just end up breaking the pump. That said, your experience can vary significantly depending on what you plan to grow. Smaller herbs might work well in something like this for their full lifetime, but I have serious doubts about growing a full salad’s worth of plants in this device, which is practically what they present in the photos. That said, all the competition seems to have similar photos, so it almost feels like you can’t count this against them. It’s also possible that it really does work to grow things that big in it, and that I just never gave it a chance, but it felt like it just wasn’t going to be wise to let it all become a tangled mess. All that aside, I am very glad I made this purchase. It ended up inspiring a whole hobby I never imagined myself being so interested in. We have lots of lovely greenery around our home, and I feel it changed my perspective and gratitude towards food and plants in general. 😊

Great garden! Nice for cold weather.
Works pretty well. Just started using it but already seeing herbs sprout and grow. It’s nice to have something during the winter like this that can grow things like this. I’ve stuck to herbs for now and have not tried vegetables. Herb sprouting is easy to do with this kit too which is nice.

Learn before you start, or expect to learn as you fail and succeed
Got two of these for a pretty great price. If you are a first time hydroponic grower, here are some tips I learned the hard way. 1- there is a very distinct difference between in ph levels of tap water and reverse osmosis or distilled water. Get you a ph tester, else you could risk plants suffering or not being fruitful. 2- this system can be a nuisance to clean, though it does have a handy drain plug near the base, and the tray comes out. Problem is there is no good way to decide where you put the tray of growing roots while you clean. The tank builds up quite a but of sediment in my experience, so it becomes necessary to actually scrub instead of rinse. Get you a container of hydrogen peroxide 3% to help with cleaning. 3- algae is a problem you may not realize exists until you see it. It can block plants from access to nutrients, which is where the hydrogen peroxide can help too. A few drops of h2o2 can go in the fresh refill of water to help combat algae growth. 4- this system doesn’t really tell you this, but I found that leaf vegetables are the most successful. I have been able to watch various lettuce seeds (butterleaf, romaine, etc.) sprout and grow well. Kale has also proven to do well. Others I have tried sprouted, but stagnated, which is where again, you need to be aware and monitor the ph, water temp, and nutrient levels closely. All plants have different ideal zones, so if you are planting a dozen different seeds, you need to realize you might only see success with half of them while others struggle to grow. 5- use AI to help you. Sounds silly, but taking pictures of my system every week and asking AI to assess has given me some good feedback on how to revitalize plants. Keep good notes of what you planted, when you planted, and what your ph, nutrients, and water temp levels are at.

Great kit for our grandson with Autism and ADHD.
We bought for our 5 year old grandson who loves to garden with his Nana and he loves it. When he opened the box on Christmas morning he just set it aside. His mind was focused on toys and games. When I opened the boxes the next day and he and I put it together he was focused on this great kit. He was asking a million questions and then explained to us how it worked. Our grandson has autism and ADHD and it can be hard to get him focused on things unless he sees the fun and understands what the end results will be. This is perfect for children and adults alike. He is learning how to set up and care for fruits and vegetables which not only increases his knowledge but, also improves his attention and patience.

I have four of these. They grow so fast and almost no work at all except in the beginning and then topping up water once or twice a month. I have been growing cilantro and microgreens. So far, I have pruned them twice and they grow more once you prune them

I am very impressed with this growing system. The until does not come with any seeds but I purchased what I was looking to start my indoor garden with so it worked out well. The light adjusts up to 17". There is a water window at the front which I really like. I found putting it together was pretty simple and instructions were easy to follow. Planted them all on Dec 12, and I’m already seeing roots or sprouts on majority of them (lettuces started four days after I planted them, that’s crazy!!) It comes with the dirt pods for the seeds, holders, stickers to write the names on, plant food and little domes. Honestly, this made everything so easy. You put in your seed, fill with water, put the appropriate amount of plant food in the water and let it be! With the ultra quiet water pump (yes, it’s very quiet) to keep the water circulating. Light goes on and off on a timer 16 hr and 22 hr. You just choose which setting you want, set it up and watch your plants grow! I’m happy with this purchase.
