Nightout / Spirit of St Louis

Pretty much anyone who has ever heard Ellen Foley sing would agree that she has a fabulous voice. That gorgeous sound is heard to full, devastating effect on Disc One of this set: Nightout. Great rock ballads and some lighter-touch tracks to balance out the programme. Wonderful listening. Then comes Disc Two.Oh dear. I was left wondering what the hell she was thinking when she not only conceived this album - along with the backbone members of the brilliant Clash - but also actually recorded it! Really, You could not get a bigger contrast in recordings by the same artist. And, to be frank, not at all to my taste. Ellen Foley is a rocker; why the hell she chose to participate in this nonsense beggars belief. Some of you will like it, certainly. I didn't and would not recommend it. Buy the Single 'Nightout' album instead. Save your ears :-)

I've always loved this album ' Nightout ' taken me years to obtain a copy on cd to replace the long last vinyl . always either out of stock or ridiculous price , so ,my delight in finding on amazon this double album cd at great value.For those who've never hears of Ellen , you musy have all heard Meat Loaf;s ' Paradise by the Dashboard Light ' Well Ellen sings the female vocals.9 tracks on album all great , but stand out tracks , Nightout , Whats a matter Baby , Stupid GirlBe the best 10 quid you've spent in years,In my top ten albums of all time BUY IT

The 1st album Night Out. Took me back to my years in Germany. Second album, fresh material. Why hasn't Helon brought out more material

started off bad crossed wires but when got sorted they came out the best really helpful i will buy again from them they really looked after me bent over backwards to get things right even gave me a gift which was very nice i can only thank them for all they did b lutwyche
