Big bonus: it washes out cleanly without leaving buildup, which is rare with pomades. Scent-wise, it’s light and fresh—not cologne-heavy, not sweet, just clean. This stuff is all the craze with all the high schoolers. It pretty stiff to get out of the container. Once you get a small amount you rub it between your hands so it goes on your hair easier. It holds pretty good though out the day. The scent is pleasant and it’s not greasy. Works well for the messy hair look and it holds pretty good.

First time using a pomade, and can’t imagine going back or switching to anything else. I chose this one mainly because it’s the only one I could find that lacks harmful ingredients (checked with yuka). I use only a tiny bit every few days and it keeps my hair pliable and holds it well, while giving it a nice finish. Just the one small tub I got is easily going to last me a couple of years at this rate.

The BASED Pomade for Men delivers decent styling and a solid hold, and the quality of the product overall is good. It gives my hair a nice look that lasts, and it’s easy to work into most styles. However, the texture is very sticky — way more than I expected. It makes application a bit frustrating, and when I wash or comb it out, it feels like it can pull hair. I wouldn’t say it actually caused hair loss, but it definitely grabbed at strands more than other products I’ve used. If you want a pomade with strong hold and don’t mind the stickiness, this does the job. But if you’re sensitive to products that tug at your hair, this might not be the best choice.

I bought this for my son and he really likes it. He's a teen and it is easy for him to style his hair with. It gives his hair curl while keeping it soft. It leaves is hair looking shiny.

We purchased this to give a modern look to our son’s thin blonde hair. First, it smells amazing. It’s clean and the product holds so well. The price point was a little more than I wanted but you don’t need much at all so it’s going to last forever!

I don't understand the hype. Mine had a terrible smell wouldn't hold my hair the way that it shows in the pictures and was very sticky. For what it costs to me it's way overpriced when you can get a similar product from many different places for a much better value. But when products are viral on TikTok I guess they capitalize on their 15 minutes of fame.
