Good unit for money
The unit has worked great. My only complaint is not being able to buy parts.

MacGyver'd a mount for my situation, plus some useful tips on usage and safety.
While the lack of complete, helpful instructions left me a little frustrated to start, I discovered that mounting it was a relatively simple MacGyver my mounting setup, it turned out that I really needed something custom anyway. The video details how I mounted the winch and some useful tidbits on its operation to set your expectations on what will be required of you. The video shows my setup and explains a little about why I needed to do it that way. The photo shows my first mounting plate setup where I drilled holes in a steel plate and bolted the winch body to it. My son came over and suggested another setup option that was much better than my original plan so I ended up replacing that plate with some beefy angle iron. Regardless, the photo is useful to see an option for mounting the winch to a fixed plate. Though you can buy just the winch independently, it is nice to get the whole kit with the controller. Hope this information helps. I would definitely buy this unit again and, for my use, the price and performance were just what I needed.

Consider parts availability before buying a VEVOR product.
I purchased this winch on January 31, 2025. It was installed in a new addition to our business but was never put into service. A few weeks after installation, we inserted the batteries into the wireless remote to verify operation, and at that time it worked as expected. Fast forward to June 17, 2026, when we finally moved into the new addition and attempted to use the winch for the first time. The winch would not operate. Upon inspection, we discovered that the batteries had leaked and caused internal damage to the handheld remote. I assumed this would be a simple matter of ordering a replacement remote from Vevor. Instead, I received the following response: “Unfortunately, we currently only sell complete products and do not sell accessories separately…” It is disappointing that a fully functional winch, just over one year old and never actually used, cannot be repaired due to the unavailability of a basic replacement part. This effectively renders the entire unit unusable. I believe customers should be aware of this limitation, and I will be sharing my experience on Amazon and other relevant platforms so others can make informed purchasing decisions.

Works better than expected
In a short time I've used this for lifting and lowering water heaters to helping remove a medium size deck. Little power house and operates pretty smooth.

Vevor Hoist
Bought this for my brother, it is installed and he says it seems really sturdier, and is bigger, and heavier and more impressive than he was expecting. He loves that all he has to do is hook up and push that button and it raises right up. He can do what ever he needs to, and he loves that he doesn't have to pull and tug on it himself, like with his manual one. He says the noise is to be expected. Oh, and I can't forget one important aspect, its wireless.

Works great - very impressed
Shockingly nice for the price. This would have been unheard of a few years ago. The remote is nice, and quite responsive. Easy to set up (read the manual on pairing - you can't just put in the batteries and go). It's fairly heavy, but you CAN install it by yourself if you're careful. I did it standing on a ladder, and I'm a senior! The bracket for the yellow remote control receiver is undocumented. Just screw it to the pair of holes on the box, then it hangs over the top and mounts to one mounting bolt. Easy when you see it. When you use the snatch block, it puts the plastic disc in the wrong place to hit the top limit arm. Though the pulley will still hit it, it feels/seems/looks.... just wrong. When used with the Vevor 1T manual trolley (depending on the width of your I-beam) you MIGHT have to take a die grinder to the holes of the trolley to get them to line up with the threaded holes in the hoists top. I did. It could REALLY use a spring plate that presses against the cable spool! You listening Vevor? When you have no load on it (like, when you've taken your load off and are getting ready to retract the hook), and run the cable back in - it will spool up all willy nilly. So you MUST pull on the hook with a small load when winding it up to keep it from cross spooling which ruins the cable.

La capacité maximum écrite n'est pas la bonne. Le palan est plus faible.
Facile d'installation et d'utilisation. La commande à distance est conviviale et donne une liberté de mouvement.

As described
Works well for a shop winch! I mounted it on reinforced truss supports to hoist heavy equipment into the mezzanine. I would recommend replacing the cable in this application with synthetic rope to eliminate the jumping from cable crossover.
