can this be used on a gfi outlet?

I am using this outlet extender on my exterior patio with it plugged into a GFI. I have two devices plugged in and use the USB charger port, all with no issues.

how much watts worth of items can be plugged into this?

Volts X Amps = Watts. The C port is 5 X 3.1 = 15.5W. Now the A ports are 5 X 2.4 = 12W. Some companies make A ports that are more adjustable in that if one port is the only one in use more power can be accessed. I find them to wear out a bit quicker.

How do you get it to stay in place when swiveled sideways?

You have to keep it vertical because it will always slide when swiveled sideways
