SENSE INNOVATIONS ESS Dual Plus Real Engine Sound Simulator for Axial SCX10 SCX10 II Wraith Traxxas TRX-4 #ESS Dual

Was excited when it showed up. Didn’t modify it in any way and kept it at the recommended level with no distortion. When it worked it sounded awesome and made crawling that much more fun. Then after approx 2-3 hrs of use the speaker just up and quit. For $90 I expected a lot more. Contacted both Sense Innovations and the seller And both responded quickly. Once I receive new unit I will run it awhile and update the review. Updated to 3 star review because customer support from this seller and the company was very good.** Update: Have two of these installed now and no issues even after being completely submerged. Kept the volume at 4 or less as recommended and so far no issues with speaker distortion. Will be putting one of these is very vehicle it will fit in. Amazing sound and so many downloadable sound options. Lots of scale sounds unlike the really fake sounding cheap models out there with speakers to match.

No change in scx 10 performance. It turns heads when out in the field, loud enough to be heard. Turns my scx 10 into a mini Jeep instead of an RC. Free website with unloadable sounds.

Ordered this on recommendation from a friend. I installed this to use on a Traxxas Slash 4x4 converted crawler. I used the TRX4 mounting pieces that came with the package and used a left over cutpiece of body lexan in order to mount it on my rear body clip brace. Installation of the wiring was a piece of cake.The software needed to download from the website URL listed in the instructions is outdated and out of use, but a quick google search of the product got to the software needed to add the motor sounds I wanted. Use of the software and uploading sounds via the included USB adapater was super easy. The sound from the speaker is very good quality. I would recommend NOT going any higher than 4 "clicks" on the speaker volume only to prevent damage to the speakers. Still the sound quality is very nice!This product was a great addition to my crawler. Overall: easy to install, software is user friendly, sound quality is great!

Great English written instructions. System is well layed out. Came with everything needed to get started including Deans connector splitter to power it.Has high quality plastics and buttons on the sound unit. Good selection of mounts for the sound box on your rig. Nice high quality wiring.All the sounds are free downloads on the website. Using a great V8 sound on the Scx10 2 XJ and it is great. This really adds a whole new dimension to the RC experience. A must have in my opinion and will buy again for any future rigs.

I have purchased three of these and all of them work great!... the sound is louder and less distorted than the ESS-one plus, and the unit itself is slightly smaller... I have one in a custom monster truck of my own and I put two more in a pair of custom monsters I made for someone else... I was even able to add my own custom third channel sounds to them with the available software... I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again

Sounds is great. Makes me smile everytime I run the truck. Gresr website with tons of free sounds and the ability to create your own. Only downside is delivery time very slow shipping.

I loved this product had a bumpy start but it turns out there is a possibility that the sound will be backwards you have to follow the instructions to calibrate the sound, once I did that, no problems what so ever, love that this is user friendly with easy operation and free software and free downloadable sounds, will buy again.

I have a wraith it works well it sounds really good but they could've made the lead wire going to the receiver a little longer I had to add a jumper wire if you want to run it underneath out of sight other than that it works really well it fits well and sounds good
