Great Product, Even Greater Seller - You really should have no doubts in buying this product can't recommend them enough!
GREAT PRODUCT GREAT SELLER, FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not something I say lightly I must say, however the Techgadget Store really are great. The product is really neat it is like an extension of your Mac, and you know how MAC users like things to look nice as well as work brilliantly - well this ingenious device fits into that category. Also, the product was invented by a guy, a real person, not an R&D department, which is quite nice too.Not only does this product allow you to connect multiple USB devices it provides some rather neat shelf space too, again a nice option for the slightly aesthetically OCD MAC user. To be honest the first one I ordered had a glitch, but so enamoured with the product I asked the seller for an exchange rather than the default refund that Amazon gave me. Wow they were fantastic! I spoke to a person! on the phone! who rang me up! and she was in England! and really really helpful. Couriered out a replacement device to me that arrived the next day, and I had replacement installed and working by 10.30am!!! Without even leaving the house! That is great customer service, quite often it's not until something goes wrong that you have to truly test the mettle of the retailer you bought it from, and in this case Techgadget Store were tested and were definitely not found wanting they were excellent and the product is working better than expected. This is a really neat product designed by a smart chap in America and sold by a really lovely reliable company in the UK - especially Annette!!!

A great looking, functional item to complete the look of your desk.
I pondered on buying this due to it being expensive compared to other stand solutions. But to be honest, with the USB ports for sync and charge it's not just you standard riser! There are 6 ports in all, the 2 on the rear are charge only whilst all the others are sync and charge. I have a 21.5 inch iMac on it, the build quality is great and it's very secure.Only connected, it's so easy to use and very functional. I now have lots more space on my desk, and the whole thing looks great.

The 50 mm lift to your monitor could be too much for a comfy work position
The quality of the Metal Spacebar Stand looks nice and the USB 2 works as expected. But for me, the elevation of my 27" Apple monitor brings the upper third of the screen up too high for my sight. You have to consider that the 48 mm high Stand lifts the monitor up to an uncomfortable level, and when you park the keyboard under the Stand it becomes obvious that without any problems the monitor Stand could easily have been 20 mm lower without any risk of loosing functionality. This cost for me 1 star out of 5 for the product.I have had to move the monitor off the Stand down to the desk and placed it in front of the monitor. This gives room on top of the Stand to place my Blue ray burner and a Thunderbolt port expansion box with USB 3 ports, and that all works fine for me.My advice to you, if you have the big Apple 27" monitor, is try to lift your monitor 50 mm before purchase.

Great powered USB HUB but US power supply
Great powered USB hub. Bought from Amazon US so came with a US power supply instead of investing in a cheap travel adaptor bought a more powerful 3a supply - B0921KQ7NX.Has two charging power from left and four usb ports (once connected to pc) front/back right side. All six ports charge if not connected to a pc.Strong and clean elegant lines.Very happy

Don't buy it for the USB ports!
USB ports not powerful enough to charge an iPad Air, and very flakey - my Nokia 920 will charge, but around twice a week I'll leave it plugged in overnight and the battery has drained completely. Essentially a very expensive way to move your monitor up by an inch

Pictures & description are misleading
First impressions.. once I opened the packaging, and looked at the box in which this spacebar came in, I was pleasently amazed and can only say "WOW".. such a fancy looking black, thick luxury box, giving the impression of a real 5 star product. However once I opened the box, a bit of dissapointment set in immediately. Sorry, but I cannot agree that this is a brushed aluminium of any sort. It looks and feel more like plain plastic painted with a very shiny silver paint, which makes it looks very shaby, and nothing even near to being brushed aluminium. Plus the unit I received, is not the same which is pictured on Amazon's site. Mine has not those visible hexagonal screws on the upper side (2 sets on each side), just plain.. The picture on Amazon site, gives the impression of being high quality aluminium pieces well screwed togehter. Mine looks just plain silver painted plastic.. and scatches very easily too.. Also the depth of the product, is a bit little not to my liking, as my 27" Apple Cinema display's aluminium base, just protrude a bit more than I would like from the back side, giving the flase impression that the whole monitor might tip over to the back side, but I guess it will not. As such I would say that this produt is was over priced for what it is. I will test the USB ports, etc, and will update if necessary.

Brilliant - get one!
Great piece of kit! I'm so pleased with this... This is a good example of a brilliant idea that has been perfectly executed. The whole setup is really well thought out. It's the perfect height to fit my trackpad and wireless keyboard underneath. it has two dedicated charge ports at the back for my iphone cable, and 4 charge and sync/usb ports at the front. It connects to the computer via a supplied cable and it really is plug and go.Love this - totally worth the money for a well thought out and useful item.

Great product
Beautiful and practical. I love itI've seen a lot of pretty negative reviews about this product but I think they are being very very picky.First, yes there are some plastic parts to it but the top and the sides are definitely metal. I've had mine for a while and it's wearing fine. No scratches and it still looks great.I particularly like the lighted USB ports- they are the first thing I see when i go into my office and they look really slick.Yes it's USB2 but I doesn't claim to be USB3. I also wouldn't charge my iPad from my macbook so why would I try from this?- they take a 12v charge as opposed to a 5v for a phone so of course it won't charge very fast. Finally, yes it is quite a lot of money- but hey it IS really practical and it looks really cool and that's what you're paying for really.

Looks great, supports my 12 pound monitor, fits in well on my desk with matte black finish.
I bought this with a new 27" monitor. I needed to raise it above a quad monitor stand where I wanted to utilize the top two mounts for 2 other monitors. This is sleek, black, very eye pleasing, and the usb charging and hub ports are just a big bonus. My new monitor is a 12.3 pounds and is well supported by this stand. I was not expecting much from the ports, but a hub for flash drives and a simple place to charge my phone from is a great bonus. I am also running my headset through the back hub port with no issues at all. Phone is charging from the left front when plugged in. The short cord is a bummer, but it isn't the only product that has a short cord, I always have 3.0 usb extensions on hand depending on how my desk is arranged, i always need them. For the record, I have this plugged in through a Amazon Basics 3 foot extension with no issues.
