MR3 Powered Studio Monitor, Speaker Hi-Res Active Bluetooth Speaker

My old desktop speakers kind of broke so I need a new pair. I prefer to drive them with a Subwoofer also. I chose the MR3's because they cost less than MR4's and take up less desk space, and have more tech in them. - Large desktop footprint, however smaller than some equivalent competitors. - Pretty impressive low range (bass) and crisp highs - Smartphone app so you can adjust the speakers using a custom equalizer profile (6 settings) - 3 different sound profiles, using the front Power button - 2 configurable Highs / Lows dials in the back for more control over sound. - Multiple inputs, digital, RCA, etc. - Provide cables for joining both speakers, also 3.5mm --> RCA, also 3.5mm (male) <--> 3.5mm (male) I am driving these with an (old) Yamaha subwoofer. And the cable which is the 3.5mm (male) to RCA is long enough (like 6 feet) to make the run between the two. I had to dial the subwoofer back a bit, and also put in more highs, because these MR3's have a good deal of Bass programmed into them out of the box. The combination is great. There is a Power button on the front. I has three modes (Red, Green, and White). There are no instructions which describe these. And I can barely tell the difference between them. Not sure here. There might be online instructions. There are 2 dials on the back to control Highs and Lows on the speakers. Turning them from 1 <--> 10 on each, do not seem to impart very much difference than not using them at all. In other words, there are sparse instructions for these, but in practical use, I cannot really control the Highs and Lows very much with these two. So, take that for what you will. Maybe an audio expert with a sound studio can tell. I can't really. There is a 3.5mm input jack on the front of the Right speaker so you can plug in some headphones. I can tell you that the sound from this port is great, when using my Sennheiser HD 590 cans. No drop in performance versus running the headphones directly to the sound card on the PC. That is about it for now. I have not downloaded the smartphone app yet. But I imagine that it will work pretty well and give some more control. I have not tried the Bluetooth yet. Maybe some day I will want them, if I put these on a bookshelf. Compared to my old speakers, these are much better.

I picked these up on sale, along with the T5s subwoofer, also by Edifier. All together, it was substantially cheaper than the MR2 speakers, which I had been looking at as an alternative. I'm not against a 3-in-1 unit (i.e., the MR2), but I'm a firm believer that a dedicated sub is better than trying to cram a sub into speaker cabinets in this smaller form factor. Between that fact and the substantially better price of the MR3 + T5s combo compared with the MR2 speakers, it was clearly a much better value for the dollar. I set the MR3 speakers up as recommended, running my audio output first into the T5s sub and then taking the output from the T5s to the input of the MR3 speakers. This makes for a super clean install, no need for a DAC or any amps either (since the T5s and MR3 have their own) and sounds far better than what you're going to get from, say, the MR2 speakers by themselves. I'm not by any stretch an audiophile, but I do like crisp, clean sound and enough base to know it's there. These MR3 speakers deliver the high and mid-range that I'm looking for, the clarity I prefer and they work fantastic with the T5s subwoofer to fill out the base. I'm using them in a roughly 10' x 11' room and could not want for better, louder or more accurate sound. This MR3 + T5s combo was purchased as a long-overdue upgrade from my Logitech 2.1 setup (the venerable Z323, which I've had for 15+ years) and I could not be happier with the results. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, and definitely recommend them to anyone looking to up their desktop or workstation audio game, especially if you can pair them with the T5s. They are an exceptional value for the price, they are aesthetically pleasing and well made and paired with a dedicated subwoofer, give you just about everything you need for a small room.

I use these for my computer, one on either side of my head. They appear sleek and attractive and just the right size. I consider myself an amateur audiophile in the sense that I am very passionate about sound quality and I have a fairly discerning ear, but I don't have the kind of money to go all out and I'm far from fluent in the jargon. That in mind, here's my succinct take on these studio monitor speakers. They possess excellent quality sound and power for their size, with knobs to shape the tone should you choose. Without any adjustments and connected via auxiliary to PC, they perform beautifully with music (lossless Spotify, no equalizer or volume normalization) and quite well with 2 channel surround sound for gaming. As can be expected of studio monitors, they aren't the "boomiest" speakers out of the box, but they do have nice, clear, tactile bass, impressive for the size and price point. They were very easy to set up with standard auxillary to my PC, but (despite definitely being a tech-savvy person) I struggled to get the Bluetooth connection working. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put them into pairing mode. There's a Bluetooth botton on the back of the main speaker, but pressing or holding it does nothing, nor did pressing or holding the power/volume knob. I will need to track down the manual to see if there's some sort of magic trick to it or if it's faulty. I'll update my review once I have if the Bluetooth function doesn't work, but for now I'm assuming I was just arrogant in immediately tossing the manual aside.

I've been using the Edifier MR3 Powered Studio Monitor Speakers for a few weeks, and they've exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is clear, balanced, and detailed, making them great for everything from music listening and gaming to basic audio editing. Vocals sound natural, and the bass is present without overpowering the mids and highs. The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is stable and convenient when I want to stream audio from my phone, while the multiple input options make it easy to connect to my computer and other devices. I also appreciate the headphone output on the front, which allows me to switch to private listening without unplugging cables. The speakers have a clean, professional look that fits nicely on my desk, and the build quality feels solid for the price. For anyone looking for affordable studio monitors with versatile connectivity and impressive sound performance, the Edifier MR3 is an excellent choice.

I like these speakers. Modern and they pair well with my Lenovo All-in-One desktop that also has a brass/bronze accent color. My big complaint: the speakers lose connectivity with my system resulting in the volume knob not working. The fix is simple - unplug, wait ten seconds, and plug it back it in. That however is a pain. Again- good speakers, good price ($100 on sale) - just not too thrilled about the connectivity problems.

First and foremost, I am NOT an audiophile. No, I don't measure decibels or close my eyes in a dark room drinking wine I can't pronounce while trying to pick up the differences in treble, low, high, etc. notes. Previous to these speakers I was running a Sony soundbar and subwoofer via bluetooth to my PC and I thought I was doing just fine, which I was but what I didn't like was how much space the soundbar took up on my desk. After exhaustive research these speakers kept being mentioned repeatedly. On top of that most reviews, suggestions, etc. stated specifically if these speakers are on sale that it was an absolute no brainer. Long story short these speakers are absolutely dynamite. One, their size and the space or lack thereof they take up is heads and shoulders above my sound bar set up. The installation is pretty straightforward if you aren't going a soundcard/DAC set up. You can EASILY pair these via bluetooth or run the RCA jacks to the back of your PC. Either way it's REALLY simple so that's a win. I read a suggestion to download the Equalizer APO for your PC and pair it with the 'PEACE' user interface (BOTH completely free apps) to serve as a way to alter the PC's equalizer based on what you were listening and man am I glad I listened. Playing with the app, equalizer, and these speakers the sound is absolutely AMAZING. The sound quality and fidelity between these speakers and my old sound bar is laughable. Absolutely do not regret my purchase in any way shape or form. These speakers have the ability to knock with bass heavy tracks while providing really nice clarity and definition with vocal forward music. I might consider getting a subwoofer just because I want to 'fill out' the rest of the sound profile of this system but I am also content with this setup. If you're just looking for a legitimate set of speakers for your PC and aren't an audiophile looking to deep dive into every spec I would say just get these, especially if they're on sale. No brainer.

Good little speaker- especially on sale for 100 bucks! Good sound, solid build, attractive (bought the white ones). Not a lot of power, but probably enough for most people at a desktop. I wanted more. Also, as studio monitors, they don't have a lot of connection options- but they do have bluetooth. But if your budget is $100 I think these should be considered. (They go on sale often so be patient!)

Great little near field speakers. A little heavy on bass but you can adjust with 2 rear controls hope high and low pass. Excellent quality and volume.

Tiz sürücüsünün hızı fiyatına göre çok iyi seviyede, distorsiyon gerçekten aşırı az, sibilans ile hiç karşılaşmadım, enstrüman ayrımı da cabası, harika seviyede. Hooverphonic, Arsenal, Massive Attack, Sandra ve yazmaya üşendiğim onlarcası. Kısaca demem o ki çözünürlüğün hakkını verin kardeşim, tofaş ses sistemi değil bu sadece bas ve aşırı yüksek tiz versin. Bunların haricinde şaşırtıcı olarak metal dinlemek oldukça sardı. Genel olarak herkesin "temiz çalıyor" diyeceği bu sistem hızlı gitar hamlelerini güzel şekilde çıkarabiliyor, aynı zamanda kısık seslerde olduğunuz sürece bas çok yakışıyor metal ve rock türlerinde. Sesi yükselttikçe bu sefer maalesef 3.5" olan sürücünün hızı bariz şekilde yavaş kalıyor, nerdeyse metronom farkı oluşturuyor gibi geldi, yine de zevk verici. Watain ve Opeth denedim şimdilik metaller arasında. Sahne genişliği konusuna gelecek olursak, yakın zamanda bunların 40 50 katı pahalı hoparlörler ile dinleme yaptığımdan referans aldığım yer belki çok orantısız ama; enstrümanlar normal şekilde tweeter kılavuzu sayesinde dağılıyor gibi ama özellikle erkek vokaller midrange sürücünün arkaya bakan çıkışı sayesinde çok daha çevreleyici geliyor. Genel olarak iyi. Son bir not olarak masada kullanım senaryosunu denemedim ama masada kullanmak isterseniz aktif monitörün arkasından bas'ı biraz kısmak isteyebilirsiniz. Ek olarakta yüklediğim fotoğrafta pasif üniteyi sağ tarafa koymuştum ama normalde solda olmalı. RCA girişlerini de bu hatayı yaptıktan sonra L ile R'yi ters bağlayıp düzelttiğimden dolayı herhangi efektif dezavantajı veya farklılığı olmuyor şu an Bluetooth dışında. Telefon mikrofonunun kalitesinden dolayı da video yüklemek mantıklı gelmedi.

OMG! its a great sound in a small box! Bass kick tight to soft adjustment was so impressive as well as with high frequency response.

Really loving these speakers. I've been using for just over a month now. I have them connected to my PC as my main speakers, and the sound is great for what I need. The sound could obviously be better, but for the price point they are better than expected. I also love how easy it is to connect to Bluetooth with my phone to listen to my music if I'm not sitting at my desk. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

They sound lovely to my (untrained and plebian) ear - crisp and clear with a warm and pleasing bass. They drop off at the low end pretty dramatically around 50 Hz or so, and I have paired them with an Edifier T5s to subtly bring the lows down a bit further. Modestly loud, and more than adequate for close up listening at the desk without shaking the home.
