Apparently it's not that difficult - just make the wrist rest too thick to be usable. It's at least twice as thick as most wrist rests I've used in the past and those commercially available. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt by using it for a few hours and in different positions, but my fingers end up feeling numb after a few minutes - their claim of allowing proper blood flow is false.I do not recommend this product unless you want something to throw at people without injuring them. ### ⭐ No good *by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018* I purchased this same Wristsmith wrist rest from Staples a few years ago for my office. Just got this one at Amazon for my home. It is completely different and I hate it. The original is a bean bag that has some weight to it and seems like a perfect wrist rest where my wrist sets on it without creating pressure. The new one is much thicker yet much lighter -- light as a feather. It is constantly falling off my desk because it has zero weight to it. It is also too thick, so it is too high and is actually somehow causing me shoulder pain. Why did Wristsmith change the design? I realize that the ergonomic ideal is to not rest your wrist on anything, but the reality is that I need something for mousing. You don't sink through to the table. You can put your elbow on it . The beads are so tiny it feel like a really soft pillow. I got 2.
