Replace the entire assembly
A great replacement part for my gas fireplace. I wished that I had purchased the pilot assembly from the start. Instead, I bought one of the components (thermocouple) but it didn't fix the problem. I'm happy now that it's installed and working fine. Easy to install and of good quality.

Worked perfect!
It worked for the Heatilator model number listed in ad. Cheap too. High quality I might add.

worked
fit my heatolator gas fireplace, looks like the same product (or very close to it) that the OEM provides. The technician who repaired my fireplace replaced the old pilot with this one and we're back to a functioning fireplace again. Saved probably about $100 vs. the OEM model.

Worked like a charm, but after a few minutes...
UPDATE WINTER 2026: So, the first time it got cold enough to use my fireplace again this year, I tried my switch and, of course, it will not turn on. I can see my pilot light on. My gas is on, of course. But this assembly is NOT working. So, so much for this lasting. I am disappointed to say the least. But hey, let's assume it's just cheap and is not going to last. Maybe I won't waste my money again on another weirdly named product from who knows where. PREVIOUS: I have a Heatilator direct-vent fireplace and a thermocouple and pilot light set I bought last year would not light this time around. This fairly inexpensive replacement showed up and I thought I would try it. You can look around on the you tubes and find some videos on how to replace this piece yourself. It's not too complicated, but takes a few minutes to get the logs out, collect the small rocks, etc. This was a direct plug in, All connections fit perfectly and there was more than enough slack to plug things in. The copper tube did seem to be crimped a bit just before where it connects to the gas supply, but this did not affect the overall performance. The only thing that kind of worried me at first was that it did not light at first. You need to be careful not to turn the switch on and off too often. My suggestion, once the pilot is first lit and you have things reassembled, tun on the switch and wait about 5 minutes. If it does not light during this time, it's okay, just turn the switch off, and wait a minute or two. Then, turn the switch on again, and wait 5 minutes. If it does not light, turn the switch off, and wait a while, maybe an hour or two. Then try again. I left mine overnight and first thing in the morning, I tried again and it lit within a minute. Since then, it lights almost immediately once I turn on the switch. Not sure if the thermocouple just needs to break in a bit. Be patient. Highly recommend it for the price and build quality.
