S7002-2 Mole and Gopher Pest Repellent Granule, 10 lb

I have been battling moles for decades, and I have tried most every product on the market, I think. This repellent, although it does not kill the little devils, works better than anything I've ever used. I followed the instructions on the bag and herded (manufacturer's term) the moles toward my property boundaries. I expect I will eventually have to reapply the product because in my sandy soil additives of any kind don't last forever, but I will certainly use Sweeney's again.

After trying many other options, gas sticks, flooding, traps, even running auto exhaust to the tunnels via a hose, I decided to give this a try. First try, using this per the instructions, also yielded no results. then in frustration, I spread twice the recommended amount four times over the course of a year. The next spring I saw no evidence of moles anywhere in my yard. A little expensive, yes, but the little buggers moved off my property. Now I spread double the recommended dose once every spring and it's been years since I've seen any moles around. Spread it heavy, give it time and be sure you spread it just before expecting a good rain to allow it to wash into the ground. They'll go away.

Total waste of time and money! I should have had enough product to use 4 - 5 times based on the square footage but chose to scatter all of it. Followed the instructions to a “T” over 4 days. Watered after each application. Had absolutely no effect! Since caster oil was highly recommended by a neighbor, I purchased another bag the next day and spread ALL of it in one shot. What a waste of time and money!

This powdered form of Castor oil worked fine in my front & side yards, BUT seems ineffective in the back, where they originate from. I used TWO bags for the front & sides, and ONE whole bag for the small back yard with Little noticeable effects back there. I've ordered (3) more bags to try to drive the Moles OUT, but only time will tell if I'm successful.

Have been plagued with moles in the yard for some years. Tried traps (would catch a few, not very productive), tried poison (in the cone shaped package, seemed to help but not eliminate). Then tried the Sweeney's repellent. We are on a corner lot and I noticed the invasion would come from a neighbor's yard to the south. They would burrow under the privacy fence. I decided to sprinkle the granules along the property line and, lo and behold, the varmints get to the granules line and go no further!! Having had little rain during the summer, I would water the granules in and it has proven to work. At first, I put the granules along a line where the moles appeared to have been crossing over and that stopped them there BUT I noticed the little guys figured out to go to where I had stopped putting the granules and would go around. SO, I extended the granules to include the entire property line and now, some few months later, I will see a tunnel come to the line of granules and then it stops. Yep, this stuff works and I have used a 10 lb. bag this summer (applied once and reapplied sometime later) and am very well pleased. Also, did notice when I first began and had some tunnels in yard, I applied some to them and it stopped the progression. Very well pleased with performance!

This product is totally ineffective against gophers. We wasted time (and money) with this product while the gopher has found our veggie patch! Moving on to some gopher trap.Giving it 2 stars... that it may be effective against moles.

This product does repel moles and recommend making a wide perimeter around area you want moles to keep out of. Like on property lines between neighbor that lets moles go.If the moles are established, with burrow network, there is no where for the moles to go, and it is not poison. Have used this product several seasons and it lasts over 6 months to repel.
