## Description

Enjoy perfectly grilled and healthy food for your family and friends all year long with the Indoor OptiGrill + XL. Thanks to its 9 automatic programs, you can enjoy perfect indoor grilling results with the temperature and the cooking time being automatically adjusted to your favorite food. With 3 additional settings (seafood, pork and bacon) and a 33% larger cooking surface than the classic OptiGrill, this panini press keeps all your food juicy and full of flavor. The indicator light and the audible beep tell you where your food stands in the cooking process; green for start of cooking, yellow for rare, orange for medium and red for well done. Lift up the lid and remove the food when it is ready and leave the rest to keep cooking to your desired doneness. Even frozen food regains all its flavor in a couple minutes thanks to the frozen mode. The manual modes with adjustable temperature give your fruits, vegetables or any other personal recipes the delicious and unique taste of grilled food. With removable plates inclined at 7 degrees fat can easily run off. The PTFE non-stick aluminum plates and the drip tray are removable for easy clean up.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: why does manual mode only work**
A: If you put the food on the grill before it indicates it is ready to cook it will automatically switch to manual mode. I learned that the hard way. So the proper steps are: 1. Power on. 2. Select type of meat/sandwhich. 3. Press OK. (If you are grilling frozen meat select the frozen food option, which is the snowflake button). 4. Wait until it warms up which should be indicated by both the slow flashing doneness light on the right becoming steady and a beeping tone. 5. Put your food on the grill and close the lid. You will then see the Doneness light at the right turn blue. It will change color and alarm at each doneness stage. For example. When it gets to rare it will beep and the Doneness light will be yellow and progress all the way to red and well done to which it will give you a different alarm continuously until you press OK. Hope that helps.

**Q: how long to cook a medium burger?**
A: Best things about opti grill is you don't have to worry about it- the lights and beeps will let you know. We did turkey burgers from frozen to cooked in less than 10 minutes. We did a chicken sliced in half the other day. Took 37 minutes- longer since it had bones etc.- but it was the juiciest best grilled chicken I have had in a long time. The skin was golden brown- almost like fried chicken but less grease....I highly recommend buying this item.

**Q: Has anyone tried cooking sausages with the grill? I was wondering if you could cook them whole, or if you have to cut them in half?**
A: Cooks sausage and kielbasa to perfection. I always butterfly mine and they come out with the grill marks and cooked all the way through!!

**Q: Will it make a panini Sandwich like our Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler?**
A: Oh my, yes. And better. So easy to clean. I make very fancy paninis in mine. Perfect every time.
