Big disappointment..no better than the headphone jack on my amp ..

Quality well worth paying for.
I bought this headphone amp after a series of upgrades: I'm fully satisfied with this and it will be on my desk for a good while yet. It replaced a Heed CanAmp, which was very good for its price, but I had the itch to go one better. In comparison, it gave a much fuller sound, but initially it had a hard edge to it, which gradually became more mellow. It's very handy having two output levels, especially if you have a range of headphones, but also for different recordings that vary in their sound levels. The amp is good for all genres of music, from delicate chamber to full orchestral. It's a pricey item, but the quality is well worth paying for if you are after a top-rate system.
