I found a happy medium with this product and shade. It is hydrating with a gentle shine, without creating that weird white line on the inner part of the lip, and buildable. It stays put while you're talking or drinking out of a straw, but don't bother thinking it will stay on during a meal, a makeout session, or even really giving a gentle blot. You'll be reapplying every time. I put it on at 9am before a long work meeting, and it stayed on un-smudged until 1pm. Bear in mind, I am not a lip licker, I don't rub my lips together, or anything that would naturally disrupt the product. The best part? I was able to jump in my car, and wipe it off to apply my beloved MAC Ruby Woo to attend a lunch, and there was no issue with product cross interference. I went from the balm to the MAC with no issue of the MAC staying on like normal after this balm being on for 4 hours.
