Mazzoni - Pineapple Puree, 100% Pure Pineapple, 2.2 lbs (35.2 oz)

Like their Mango and Passion Fruit this Pineapple Puree is terrific. I made some Pineapple Ginger Sauce and canned it. This company is now my go to for all things fruit purees. As with the other flavors I do wish it was a little bit thicker but the way I use them for jams and syrups I can adjust the lack of thickness with pectin. Highly recommend these products. Especially the Passion Fruit as it is the most aromatic puree I have very had the pleasure to swoon over.

This is a bit thicker than pineapple juice, I guess would be similar to a very pulpy orange juice. Flavor is good. I bet this would go good as an Ice Cream topping, but haven't tried it for this purpose yet. Tried making a pineapple / malibu drink with it. For this particular drink I would prefer to just use Pineapple juice instead of this puree, the thickness/texture didn't really go with the drink well. Plain pineapple juice from the grocery store is significantly cheaper (you can get 64 oz of juice for like $5, so this is probably 4x the cost of juice.). If you can use juice just get juice. Now, if you are making a sauce or something that needs to be thicker, than this would be better but not sure it's worth the premium price.

This Pineapple Mix is exactly what I was hoping it would be, a convenient way to add pineapple to recipes and seltzer. It doesn't taste fresh, exactly, but it tastes a lot better than diced pineapple or pineapple juice from cans (even the non-sugared types). Despite the large amount, the spout makes this easy to pour and it doesn't come out too quickly. Consistency is close to a standard puree, and the color is what I expected for pure pineapple. The expiration date for mine is February 2026, which is 15 months from now. Although I appreciate that, I assume this is for the unopened mix. Once opened, no instructions are given on how long it should last or about storage. While I'm guessing it belongs in the fridge, I'd like to be certain. Still, it's a great mix to keep on hand for when I need it and allows me to make spontaneous recipes without having to run to the store and hope pineapple is in stock. I'm quite pleased with this.

This pineapple mix is convenient to use. It's pure pineapple, just in liquid form. I can use it to add pineapple flavor in any food I want without all the hassle of cutting pineapple and process it. I like that the mix doesn't have any added sugar or anything else, it's just pineapple. It really tastes like what you'd expect from pineapple juice, not too sweet, and no added chemical. The pouch is huge and it comes with a spout that you can easily pour just the amount you need. I'm very happy with this product.
