15" Tall Male Mannequin Head Durable Plastic Black (50013)

This bust is nice and sturdy plastic, at the same time light weight. has a big hole in the bottom so you could put it on a base or a round peg. I have a 3D printed fursuit head base and it holds it up well with out something weighing it down. Pretty close to a human size. I would recommend this.

Absoulutely happy with this mannequin head! I recieved a Star Wars Black Force Awakens Poe replica helmet for my birthday and this was perfect for displaying it. I didnt want a foam mannequin head because i didnt want it falling apart and having foam flakes everywhere. When I found this it was perfect. Its a strong plastic, light and it doesnt tip over or anything with the helmet on there. Its very sturdy. And the helmet fits snug. I highly recommend this for any collectors out there to use this to display any of your replica mask, helmets etc..

Wonderful piece that could be used as a piece of art. Mine is used to display heavy metal Greek helmets and they balance with no worry of falling over. I would estimate that they are close to life size . Made of durable plastic even though they are hollow. If you ever wanted flesh tone they would be easily painted permanently with plastic compatible paint found at any Walmart and you would never know they were painted. I could see these being used at high end clothing stores for a wide variety of uses. Shipping was exactly as they said it would be! My money was well spent and I will be getting more as I have a lot of display pieces. Thank you much

My use of these mannequin heads is different from others who use them to put their wigs or hats on them or another utilitarian purpose. I expect they're great for that use too, but I was looking for something visually cool to display two bizzare and unique "hats" I have - adorned, sequined king's crown and court jester's hats I got years ago in the French Quarter in New Orleans that have special meaning and were pretty expensive, as I recall. Looked through all of Amazon's offerings and this version seemed sleek and modern without breaking the bank. Ordered and got one, no problem, looked good wearing the crown on my shelf, so I ordered another for the jester's hat to make them match. They serve my purposes perfectly, and usually start a discussion when people see them.

I am a mask sculptor and the first head form I ever bought was a Styrofoam head, which was dirt cheap but it tended leave foam pebbles in the clay and to fall forward and damage the sculpt once the weight of the clay was added...even after I cobbled together a stand for it out of a light bulb socket and PVC. It came time to get a real head form and in my searches I fount this one.Hard plastic to resist tooling? check.A base wide wide enough to keep the head upright? check.Great value? check.Contrary to what the pictures may lead you to believe, the surface is not glossy smooth. It does have a slight texture, but I found that helpful in getting the clay to stick without causing trouble when removing it.I love this head. It travels well, supports the weight of the clay well without toppling over, and it is really sturdy. I have recommended this head to several other mask makers who ask what head to get. It is just what I needed.That being said, my only criticism, and the reason for 4 stars instead of five, is in the sculpt of the head. I have noticed that the left eye is higher than the other one, and the right ear is lower than the left, which you can actually notice in the thumbnail pic.Now I don't make masks that cover the ears, so that doesn't bother me too much, as for the eyes, the difference is slight enough, but you have to be careful to adjust for the difference so your mask is symmetrical. Etching a guideline helps.This head also makes a great display stand for masks or hats due to the neck and shoulders.

I purchased this item (two so far actually, and I will get more) to display paper mache masks. The masks I make are are strange and rather heavy, and I was looking for a display head that would either be heavy enough to support them, or which I could easily modify to do so. To my surprise, this head is actually heavy enough on its own! For use around the house, it is sufficient. When I take them to a show, I will need to weight them down for safety, but the head is hollow and has a 2 3/4 inch round opening in the bottom. I found these: Frame Tube Hole Plugs for Chevrolet Silverado GMC Sierra fits Rear Wheel Well in 2014 2015 and 1999 - 2010 Models 4 Pack by FGT MotorsportThey are just the right size. I can put some sand into the head for added stability and then tap the plug into place with a rubber mallet.

I've been looking for a good, sturdy place to mount my HTC Vive for a bit now and finally decided on this base. I can mount the Vive and a pair of headphones on this with little to no fear of it falling over. I have a larger cranium so my Vive doesn't fit his head well, which is fine for me because it won't wear out my elastic. Be mindful putting headphones on the head for extended periods because it could also damage the elasticity of the headband. The head itself is made of fairly think plastic and is a flat black color. There is a hole in the bottom to give you access if you feel the need to add more weight to the head. It sits very flat on my desk with no wobble.

The first head mannequin (black color) I got had many defects that apparently happened during the shipping. However the provider replaced and the second one arrived in very good conditions. I am happy and satisfied with it!
