Great Summertime Read
Mister Tonight was a fun, light, read. It’s relatively short, so it would make for a great book to take to the pool while you’re watching the kiddos splash around. You know, if you don’t mind reading some pretty steamy intimate scenes in public. Kendall Ryan delivered a great angst-free romance with Mister Tonight. There were some serious laugh-out-loud moments in this book, four-year-old daughter walking in on ‘adult snuggle time,’ anyone? Little Maddie was adorable, precocious, and maybe a little well-spoken and mature for her age. Her constant blunt candor combined with the innocence of a child layered the story with a layer of amusement that can only be reached with the help of kids.I loved Kate’s independence, her confidence in herself. I loved that she had no reservations about knowing what she wanted and going for it. She was a fascinating character, and I’d love to have the lack of inhibitions regarding sexuality she had. She gave me something to strive for in asking for what I want. I did, however, have a hard time understanding her reluctance to have a committed relationship, she was so terrified of the idea it seemed like there had to be more going on that the throwaway explanation given in the book, it just seemed incongruous.I’m a sucker for a single dad, especially one as involved as Hunter. He never discounted Maddie or Kate’s abilities to take care of themselves and strove to ensure he wasn’t encroaching on either of their individualism. It clear from the off he valued more than just a quick lay or a night off from his kid. There was a quiet intensity about him – and the way he loved – that jumped off the pages without ever having to be detailed. He really was quite a catch; Kate couldn’t have done better. After reading a slew of emotionally exhausting books, Mister Tonight was a nice reprieve. It was sweet enough to keep me interested, funny enough to lift my spirit, and romantic enough to make me swoon. I appreciated how short and sweet it was, and love to load up on these kinds of for the summer. My favorite part of the book was how effortless the whole thing felt. Kate’s refusal to let them put expectations on their relationship made it so much easier for them to be open and honest, ultimately it allowed them to build a solid foundation for the more she never wanted.Kendall Ryan delivered a great summertime read with Mister Tonight. It was written with such ease and comfort, it felt like cuddling up with an old friend. I love how easily Ms. Ryan shifts back and forth between her more intense work and these lighter romcoms.

Simply a lovely quick, (read) swoon worthy romance
Mister Tonight is a lovely quick read that just plain made me happy. There is a sweetness to the entire book that you can't help but swoon and smile over. I will tell you that I was actually a little hesitant to go into it because I am always a little anxious about books where there is a single parent, especially a single father. Usually the angst is too high for me or the book will have a single parent but that parent manages to basically live a life that doesn't seem to revolve around a child like it would in 'real-life'. Mister Tonight was done so well on these fronts however. Maddie is front and center from the beginning of this book and is always in the minds of our two main character as they navigate their relationship. I will say that one thing that threw me off was Maddie's age, she was four but I had to keep reminding myself of that because she quite often seemed to act out of character for a four year old. She was also quite spoiled, but I suppose those things might be the case for a single parent raising an only child.I loved the slow burn of the relationship between Kate and Hunter. That they ended up really taking their time getting to know one another and that Kate took the time to look inward and figure out what she truly wanted out of life and all with out tons of angst, I really hate angst! One of my favorite things about this couple is that they're just normal everyday people. Hunter is a man who works a regular job, loves and takes care of his daughter, (as he should regardless of his circumstances) and is trying to navigate the world around him in his and his daughter's best interest. Kate is a vivacious, free spirit, who is a hard worker, thoughtful, considerate, and giving. She never falters to be a friend to a little 4 year old girl and eventually a wonderful mother. They're just two regular people falling in love and making a family the best way they can and I appreciate that to no end.Mister Tonight is full of funny moments, sweet memories being made, swoon worthy 'adult snuggling', and lots of love. If you are looking for a cute sweet read with just the right amount of swoon and romance do not miss out on this book. It's a fast read, you will likely finish it in one sitting and just the perfect thing for an afternoon/evening escape.

Sexy with some funny too!
Kate and Hunter have this chemistry I can only dream of. There is this sexy aura around them and I can’t help but swoon as I read this book. This book is a single parent book which is legit one of my weaknesses because I literaly cannot help myself falling in love with the characters.I love that Maddie and Kate bond over gluten free food, it might sound like the weirdest thing but it was actually pretty adorable to see. I love how she walked in on Kate and Hunter that night, it was so awkward but led to so many funny and also sexy scenes! This story is another winner for me, well done Kendall!4 stars

Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan.
Oh, how I chuckled whilst reading this humorous romance. This is so like real life situations, especially where Maddie is concerned. Out of the mouths of babes, as the saying goes. A little Miss All Knowing child - perfect and brilliant for this great story line. Not going into detail, don't want to spoil it for future readers, but know this - this author knows her onions when writing romance with a touch of comedy. Loved the characters. Well worth 5 *'s.

Officially hooked on Kendall Ryan!!
Sexy, fun and sweet... Kate is the perfect woman to rock SINGLE dad Hunter's world, with the mix of his adorable daughter it's definitely a heart warmer. The only downside is that there isn't much backgound to Hunter and no great detail about Maddie's mother. I should feel ashamed to say it's my first Kendall Ryan book but it's definitely will not be my last!
