Encyclopedia of Nature

My stepdaughter is very interested in animals as of late, and to encourage her in her learning, I purchased this book. The book arrived on time, in excellent condition. The photographs and illustrations are brightly colored and very descriptive! The book is packed with information on virtually everything, very comprehensive: Origins of the universe, our solar system, earth, and life, evolution, a vast amount of plant and animal species, habitats, weather patterns, and more! My stepdaughter absolutely loves the book! I highly recommend this book to anyone with a curiosity about the natural world!

Great little science encyclopedia. We are using this with our 5th grade science program. We use Elements of Science, and this year is Biology for the Logic Phase with our home taught 5th grader. It has reading assignments from this encyclopedia as well as a couple others. This one is my daughters favorite. It is easy to understand and read for her level but not as simplified as some of the younger targeted ones. The illustrations are beautiful.

I bought this book as a supplement for homeschooling. The science series I use references this book a lot. I find it very informative, lots of pictures and material for the students. I am glad I got this book. Very student oriented.

My daughter asked for this book last Christmas and she still picks it up at least once/week to read it. Colorful illustrations and perfect for the nature lover in your house. You won't be disappointed and it's a book that you will have for a long time. Thanks DK!

This encyclopedia covers just about ever animal ever known on this planet, but it is decidedly more interested in the more creepedy crawly inhabitants of our planet. I am wishing I got a more delightful encyclopedia.

My kid loved it

I bought this for my son who loves all the details and information about each plant, animal, instect. He reads it everyday there is so much information and comes with very detailed and wonderful picture. A good investment for your knowledge of nature. I would recommend this to anyone.

bought it because i teach biology in english (in an austrian school) it covers many of the topics relevant to the curriculum for 11-14-year-olds, provides many pictures, yet still offers enough text to convey the most important infos and facts.
