The media could not be loaded. I've tried a few air purifiers including Winix with the small air intake holes, a small BlueAir purifier and the most popular Levoit. And I was pretty happy with them until I got the SwitchBot — now I wish I only had this in every room from the start. With the other brand designs I would still notice odours in the room from clothes, chemicals, and wood varnish from new wall panels, etc., as well as cat litter tray smells. But after a few days of using this, I no longer notice any of these smells. The design of this device is so well thought-out that I'm sure they have analysed and improved on competitor products. I have two long-haired cats, and floating cat hair has always been a problem, which I don't think has been tackled enough by other air purifiers. But finally, a brand has focused enough attention to this problem. The design is specially made to combat pet hair with the 3-level filtration and the long vertical air intake slots. I haven't been able to observe cat hair actually going into these slots, unlike the Levoit, which I actually witnessed picking some of these up, but I have noticed in the short term that I am breathing in less cat hair in the room where this is set up.The air actually feels fresher overall, especially in the mornings. And you can feel a gentle, cooling breeze when it's turned on. I have mild allergies and usually wake up stuffy and sneezing, but after using this for a few days, that’s pretty much gone. What surprised me most is how quiet it is — I'm pretty sensitive to noises when trying to sleep so I couldn't leave the other purifiers on at night but the SwitchBot on night mode is pretty much silent, and I don't notice it at all even when it's next to my bed. Even on higher settings, it’s not irritating.But what I like the most — hands down — is the app, which is seamlessly designed for user experience. It makes everything super easy to control. I can customise the nightlight colour, adjust the air suction level, and even set a schedule that fits perfectly with my daily routine. I love that the night light switches off when in sleep mode and turns on when you want it to. There are multiple colours to choose from, and not just the ones that indicate air quality. It’s one of those “set it and forget it” devices, but with the flexibility to tweak things when you want. I look forward to future innovations from this brand!

So good we purchased a second one.Connected to the internet and available in Apple Home using Matter. It has stand alone options in the app t schedule working times which is great in the bedroom to have the room clear in the evening and turn off in the morning without having to worry about turning it on and off at given times.The fan is powerful and will help make a difference in the air quality in just a few minutes. Practically silent once the air quality is at a good level, This is ideal for a bedroom and as for me as an allergy sufferer it makes all the difference overnight and can sit next to a bed as a perfect sized bedside table with a light. Granted its a little awkward to use the light effectively as it can only be turned on and off via the Switchbot app but auto will turn it off when the room is dark if left in Auto modeThe added option to put this in Smart homes makes this a perfect choice and the one I have had for several months has no blinked once and remained reliable and effective.

I really like this air purifier. The construction is good, it’s easy to assemble, and I love the integrated wireless charger, however, when using other air purifiers I’ve tended to set up automations for them to turn on based on air quality readings in the room, but in the case of these Switchbot air purifiers you have to have them on all of the time in order for it’s own air quality monitors to be used in automations. As it’s supposed to be Matter compatible I would get around this by setting up automations in Apple’s Home app to turn the air purifier on when readings from external monitors indicate that the air quality is below a certain level, however, even though my Switchbot Hub 2 has been set up with Matter and added to Apple Home (and the air purifier is included as a child device) it doesn’t appear anywhere in the Apple Home app, so I’m stuck with using Switchbots own automations which means leaving the purifier on all of the time, unfortunately. Hopefully this will be resolved via a software update (I’m not sure if this is a Switchbot issue or a Matter issue).
