Timberland PRO Men's Direct Attach 6 Inch Soft-toe Insulated Waterproof Industrial Work Boot

I NEVER thought I would buy shoes off the internet because when I go into a store I have to try on 3 different sizes depending on the manufacturer, but I was looking for something that would be a great motorcycle boot (yes, I know they make motorcycle boots) but would also be a great everyday walk/work boot.. the second I saw these on Amazon I KNEW they would be the ones. So I took a chance and ordered a 9D which is the most common size I wear varying a 1/2 size either way. True to Amazon Prime form they showed up 2 days later exactly as specified. I received them at work and immediately put them on. Right away I felt the arch hump in the boot felt just a tad too forward and there was a horrible pressure point on my left ankle from the tongue pushing in the wrong spot. I wore them in the office for the next 2 hours thinking maybe they would both subside, they didn't. So then came the dread of having to return them. Now, this is more of a Amazon rant right now, not the boots.. AMAZON ROCKS!!! I couldn't BELIEVE how awesomely easy it was to do a return. I thought I would have to return them, buy another pair, and have both charges until someday I got reimbursed.. not the case my friend. I clicked on the return link and the next page asked if I wanted to return them for a refund or exchange them. So I exchanged for an 8 1/2, printed out the UPS return form, put everything back in the box they came in, drove up to UPS 2 minutes away and BOOM! Done! You can't do it that fast ANYWHERE else. 2 days later new boots where here again (because of Prime). This time... PERFECTION! The arch humps were perfect, the tongue pressure point was gone, they were a PERFECT FIT! I have worn these boots every day, ALL DAY, since receiving them last week and they are like wearing an old pair of broken in sneakers. I rode the motorcycle all weekend in the brisk spring morning air, nothing but comfort and warmth. The bigger test for me is how they are going to perform in the coming summer. I was nervous about the insulation because I want to wear these boots everyday and I'm not sure how the insulation will feel in the dead heat of summer.. but, the description says they are breathable which should make a great difference instead of just trapping in the heat and sweat. I actually read through EVERY SINGLE review about these boots on Amazon and some guy from Florida said he wears them everyday. That made the decision for me.. and I haven't for one second regretted buying them.. even after returning the first pair. I'm not going to tell you to buy a 1/2 size smaller, because who knows.. maybe 8 1/2 is my real size and I always get 9's anyway. Sometimes shoes fit great at 9 other times I have to go up or down. But just know if you have to return them like I did.. it was SO EASY! I love everything about these boots and don't dislike anything. If there is one thing I would say that could be an improvement, it might be hooks at the top instead of eyelets for the laces. I have another pair of boots that have hooks and it just makes it nice instead of re-threading the tops.. but the laces don't always come out either, so it's really not a bother, and it's a fraction of a second difference, so it's not a "con" for me. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!

Very high quality! Despite the thickness of the sole, the shoe itself looks well-fitted and not at all large or clunky. Very soft leather with a sturdy enough toe, even though it is a soft-toe, and very comfortable to wear. The thick sole is also quite flexible when walking. I have bought so many different brands of boots, from Survivors to Thorogood boots. You name it, I have probably owned it. I'm originally from NYC, and in NYC, owning Timberland boots is a fashion must. That being said, I have not bought Timberland boots since the early 2000s, and they weren't for work purposes, but I bought them for work. I work 5 days a week 16-hour shifts, and these boots are comfortable, look good, and are definitely waterproof. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day the soles are thick and will not wear down anytime soon. The traction is good, giving me more confidence about where and what I may step into, like dirt, spills, oil, or whatever I encounter. I like these boots so much that I bought a second pair. This is my experience, so yours may vary, but you can buy these for your everyday wardrobe or what they are intended for, which is work. They look good, and you may be comfortable all day (I'm not you), but they are worth trying. These are replacements for another brand that claimed everything, but they did not last a year on my feet. The boots lasted 8 months and went into the garbage.

Good quality. Good fit. Had to get insoles but other then that my boyfriend loves them.

5 stars These boots are super comfortable, they look great, they are waterproof and good value for money. I am 45 and these are some of the best boots I have owned. I am size 10 and bought 10.5 wide. They are a perfect fit. If you’re looking for boots search no further. Timberland deliver on everything you would want from a walking or work boot.

The only boots I wear.

I first tried a pair of the Timberland Pro Direct Attach light brown boots in size 11D at a local store. They squeezed my feet a bit side to size, so I figured the wide version (11W) would solve the problem. But the local store didn't have the wide sizes Timberland Pro makes, nor did they have half sizes above size 10. Amazon.com to the rescue! :) Here I found all the sizes in-stock in both in wide and regular. I ordered an 11W from Amazon. Since 11D was too tight side to side, then 11W should be just the ticket. I ordered in dark brown this time, a color the local store didn't stock. But to my surprise the 11W turned out to be longer in addition to (much) wider! Didn't make any sense. Going from 11D to 11W should not change the length. But it did - these were now slipping around side to side and top to bottom. The only thing I can figure is going from light brown to dark brown must have affected something. Maybe the two colors are made in different parts of the world on different machines. Back they went thanks to Amazon's great return policy and I went down to a 10.5W on the replacement order, figuring maybe they would get smaller in both directions. Sure enough, that is what happened. The 10.5W fit perfectly. Less wide side to side and and also less long front to back. I wound up then buying a second pair of the 10.5W from Amazon.com since the first fit so well. But... here we go again with Timberland's apparently loose calibration on their fabrication machines. Same shoe, same size, same color, but this pair was now slightly tight side to side. After a day of wearing they stretched out sufficiently and are OK. At this point I only have a few days experience with the shoes, but I would buy again, just with the expectation that how a "10.5W" fits may vary a bit from order to order.

Quality and comfortable pair of boots. My foot size is 9US based Timberland's foot size measurement (with socks) - the boots are true to size I.e. They fit snuggly with room to wiggle toes (As per advised). Only complain is that my pair is a bit of scratched leather on the inside of the right boot near rhe stitches - not too obvious and something I can live with.

Love my Timberland Pro's generally - once they're broken in, they're pretty much the best boot known to mankind. I'm looking forward to the squeak resolving itself (and hoping it's a bug rather than a feature!!)
