I measured our elongated toilet bowl carefully before ordering (length and bolt spacing), and this Mayfair Caswell seat fit like a glove—no overhang, no gaps, sits flush and stable right out of the box. Installation was super straightforward; it took maybe 5-10 minutes with the included hardware and clear instructions. The hinges really do stay tight-no wiggling or need to retighten after weeks of use. Our old toilet seats were always the cheap plastic ones or enameled wood that started discoloring yellow around the edges within a year or two and eventually cracked from normal wear. This one feels much more durable even though its a lot thinner on first appearance. It's a clean white plastic that wipes down easily and hasn't shown any signs of staining or wear yet after several months. The slow-close feature is my favorite part. We have young kids, and the old seats would slam down hard, risking pinched fingers or just loud bangs that startled everyone. Now it closes gently and quietly with just a light tap—seriously eliminates any slamming. It's actually encouraged me (and the family) to start closing the lid every time because I know it won't crash down. No more loud noises in the middle of the night either! The video is full speed lol- it can be pushed down to go more quickly though! Overall, no complaints at all. Great quality for the price, does exactly what it's supposed to, and it's a noticeable improvement over the generic seats we've had before. Highly recommend if you're tired of loose, noisy, or cracking seats—especially in a household with little ones.

This toilet seat is everything that it's described. I purchased this seat for two reasons, the first the slow closing and the second not moving and staying secure. The sink and vanity in my wives bathroom is to the right and she will often sit sideways facing that direction and it always loosens the toilet seat. This seat stays put and is just what was needed

We replaced an older toilet seat with this Mayfair Caswell model, and it’s been a nice upgrade. Installation was straightforward and only took a few minutes with the included hardware. The slow-close feature works exactly as expected and prevents the lid from slamming, which is especially nice in the middle of the night. The seat feels sturdy and comfortable, and the plastic construction is easy to keep clean. The white finish matches our bathroom perfectly, and it gives the toilet a more updated look. Edit: After several weeks of use, the hinge cover on one of the connections won’t stay all the way closed. Not a deal breaker but wish it was better built so it would snap in place better and stay down

Well that's an hour of my life I'll never get back. It struggled to remove the old one, then had to redo the new one several times to get the thread right to sandwich in the bidet. The end result is snug and far better than before. KEY: ⭐️ 1 star= Disappointed. I don't recommend it, it is poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming quality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = It's passable. The reason I bought this item over all the other choices is because it has metal hardware. Most these days have plastic, which doesn’t last very well. The seat is a great value that does its job and looks nice doing it. I like the shiny finish and how easy it is to clean. The directions caution against using chemicals on the surface and I will follow that. As for the quiet lid, it doesn’t slam closed when dropped, so that’s a bonus.

I bought this to replace a broken slow close toilet seat. I was hoping for something a little stronger. This is a thin plastic lid and seat. So far it has held up well but it doesn't feel like a nice solid wooden seat. It's stability is better than I expected. It is definitely easy to clean and looks nice. This is an adult seat and wouldn't work well for toddlers potty training. The slow close mechanism does work but the seat is so light that it takes forever to close. Overall I I guess you get what you pay for. If I'd have known I'd probably bought something else.

High quality seat, whisper quiet and slow close is no joke, if you tap the top you got about 25 seconds before it closed on it's own without any more assistance and makes zero sound. Has not loosened in months despite some very large people using it on a regular basis.
