Saved my life!
Wow, where to start...This review has been a long time coming, but I needed to wait until I could say with confidence that Dr. Wise cured me of CPPS during one of the most difficult and painful periods of my life. Please trust me when I say that if you think you have CPPS, please please please read this book and visit his clinic. I'm a 27 y/o male (with little means) and lived with CPPS for over 6 months before finding out about this book and Dr. Wise. After reading "Headache" in just over 2 days I called Dr. Wise immediately. I know that 6 months is not long compared to others, but I was in bad shape, unable to function, relationship with long term gf falling apart, and afraid that if the CPPS continued that my life was not worth living.I won't going into too much detail but I was a classic case. I visited countless urology offices, including one of the top urology clinics in the nation, continuously being told I had Chronic Prostatitis and to take antibiotics and that it would eventually go away. I wasn't satisfied with doctors not giving a s***. I was walking around feeling like I've been kicked in the nuts, having to pee every 20 mins, excruciating orgasms, and terrified of bedtime because it was so hard to sleep because I felt like I still needed to go to the bathroom. I made my way to Dr. Wise's clinic in March of 2012. My life changed!Since going to the clinic my life is back, and as crazy as it sounds I'm thankful to have gone through this experience and I know for a fact I'm better off for it. Dr. Wise's protocol is the cure, and although he can't tell you that it WILL cure you, I can. This is not false hope. The Paradoxical Relaxation, the stretching, the external and internal trigger point therapy in combination saved my life. I'm a more self aware, self confident, and happier personal because of all this. Not to mention I don't have CPPS anymore. I will continue to meditate and stretch, it's now part of my life and I love it!My recommendation would be to read the book, GO TO THE CLINIC (just make it happen), and be patient. Remember that every day you follow the protocol you'll be getting just that little bit better. It took me two months before I started to feel any change, and every month that followed I got better and better. Until about 6-7 months in is when I realized I was going to make it through this.I've used my real name for this review, so if you have any questions, please look me up on Facebook and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. There is hope and there is a cure. Dr. Wise is the man!!!!!!!!-Perry Paolini

A must for understanding pelvic pain
I am a physician who suffered from severe pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction triggered by a food borne infection and made worse by statin induced myopathy with significant vitamin d deficiency. I was a set up for this because of years of sitting on the job sometimes 10 -12 hours day or longer for 1 - 2 weeks continuously at a clip which results in chronic shortening of the pelvic muscles and anterior abdominal and thigh musculature.Like most patients, going to your local physicians can be a hit and miss ordeal as most physicians have no experience or knowledge of this condition particularly in men and we are not adequately treated. Fortunately, my urologists initially from the very beginning said my problem was muscular. Through my own research I then found this book which exactly mirrored my symptoms and gave me some hope and knowledge on what to do for treatment. While I agree that in some ways the book is a plug for their programs, it is also a good description of the problem and provides an adequate framework for treatment. I did not attend the program but followed the program in conjunction with physical therapists, both internal and external, and psycholoogists for relaxation therapy. I also now spend a good deal of my working day standing, at least 50% of the time, with the help of elevating desks.I have to stress, that I would classify my case as severe, and as severe as some of the descriptions that you have read here. I had severe pain, and significant disability in all three major pelvic floor functions. It worked for me. While I am not completely asymptomatic all the time, most of the time I am, and other times I am minimally symptomatic. For me, this book was a godsend, in teaching me about the pelvic floor and its disabilities and what the appropriate therapy is.You do not need to attend the course to follow the program but you really need the help of professionals in your area. If you are fortunate enough to live in a large metropolitan area, there are almost certainly pelvic floor therapists who are experienced with these issues. Many of these have only treated women, but if you look carefully enough, you will find someone with experience with men, or somebody willing to work with you. You may have to work around your physician and get the physical therapist to recommend a physician who is willing to go with the program.. If you are in a smaller or more rural area, the appropriately trained therapists may not be available. You may need to travel to the closest therapists or perhaps take the course. But this book if you are suffering from pelvic pain, inability to sit, severe constipation, urinary urgency and frequency, and/or ejaculatory pain ordysfunction or as in my case, all of these things.

Excellent Book
I gave the book only 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s a little new-agey, a little long, and philosophy in this book can be extreme but the book sheds a lot of light on pain management, relief, and healing. Recommended. Do yourself a favor and read it, it helps.
