I have used several WYZE products over the years, and this doorbell is another example of why I continue to trust the brand. The Duo Cam design is extremely useful because it gives you a much better view of what is happening at the door, including packages left below the main camera. The image quality is excellent, and the smart detection features for people, vehicles and other activity make the notifications much more useful than simple motion alerts. What I appreciate most about WYZE is the combination of innovation, good engineering and affordability. Their products are usually significantly less expensive than many competing brands, but they never feel cheap. This doorbell is well built, thoughtfully designed and very reliable. I also like supporting a brand that continues to introduce practical new ideas instead of simply increasing prices. WYZE manages to offer genuinely useful technology at a very reasonable cost. Excellent build quality, useful package visibility, smart detection, very good video quality and another extremely reliable product from a brand I trust.

Works great, battery probably needs to be charged once a month. A little slower communication compared to the other wireless cameras in their family (OG cam). Maybe I need to pay for the monthly service to get all the features.

easy to install, clear video, like the two cameras and detection zones and selectable chime options. color night vision under the front lights is great and clear, was good enough to capture the running possums and racoons at night. i've used other wyze doorbells and cameras at other locations, my neighbor was impressed with the clarity and light gathering under the streetlights and garden lights.

The product listing does not clearly disclose the limitations of trying to use the camera without a subscription. Without a subscription, you are only given access to a single IMAGE of the event. In order to see VIDEOS of captured events, such as people walking up to your door, or cars driving by, you MUST have a subscription. Note: I have an SD card installed with plenty of space. This is the business model Wyze has chosen - the camera has the ability to detect and record events, and save those video files to the SD card, but I could not access that function unless I paid for a monthly subscription. If you plan on using more than one camera, the monthly subscription cost to view videos of recorded events, even if stored on your SD cards, is not nominal. Man! I really wanted to love these cameras. I purchased this doorbell camera and a window camera. The install was easy, connecting to WiFi was a breeze, picture quality is great, and build is good quality. Who purchases a home surveillance camera so they can see a single screenshot of the event at their home? Isn't capturing video the whole point? Fine, sell a subscription for people who want cloud storage, or notifications sent to emergency services, or access to heightened surveillance features the camera can perform. But if you are marketing a home surveillance camera that works without the need for a subscription, where user can choose SD rather than cloud storage, many customers may reasonably assume that they'll be able to access videos of the event as long as they have the SD card. The fact that Wyze only provides a single image of the event, unless the user subscribes to the service, should be advertised very clearly. Maybe that information was found somewhere in the ad. Maybe it wasn't. I know I looked, but maybe I missed it. Regardless, it's interesting that such a limitation would exist when the camera has an SD slot, and clearly has the capacity to record video to the card. Returning. Back to the drawing board.

I'm using this for about a week now, and so far so good. There is a bit of a delay with audio, but I feel that's just the way all of these devices work. The inside ringer has plenty of options to choose from. Video quality is very good just like the other wyze products. Setup is incredibly easy, the only reason I don't give it five stars is that the included shim kit has one steep angle. There should be more than one option for the angle. This can be remedied by aftermarket kits, but a fifty cent piece of plastic from the manufacturer would have fixed it. Works much better than my old ring.

Two-way audio is clear on both ends, making it easy to talk to visitors or delivery drivers without shouting or repeating yourself. Color night vision is another strong feature. At night, the image remains usable and clear rather than grainy or washed out. Being able to see color instead of just black and white adds another layer of detail and security, especially when reviewing footage after dark. Motion detection has been accurate and responsive. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this doorbell because my wired doorbell was broken and I didn't want to run new wiring. Plus, I already own several Wyze cameras. This seemed like a good wireless doorbell option. I like how it has 2 cameras, one of which can detect packages. Storage capacity: The storage capacity is based on the micro SD card you install. Or, If you subscribe to Wyze, your videos are saved to the cloud. Motion detection: You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion and the range of motion through the Wyze app. The higher the sensitivity and longer the range, the more often you'll need to recharge the batteries. Also, you can adjust the length of the videos in the app. With medium sensitivity, detection just in front of the door (not sidewalk, or street), and the camera set for 1 min, the battery will last over a month before having to recharge. Sound quality: The sound quality picking up voices is OK. If the doorbell detects motion, You can adjust it to have a voice in the app say something like, "You are being recorded." The sound coming from the speakers is adequate. Night vision: Good night vision. Picture quality: It has decent picture quality. Brightness: The light quality is good. You can adjust those settings in the app. Overall, Im happy with this Wyze Duo wireless doorbell. Motion detection is very good and the app is easy to use. My only complaint is you can't use continuous recording if it's not wired. But, I believe this doorbell camera has an option to hard wire it to your existing doorbell wires.

I can’t believe Wyze sells this as their flagship product. One time it lost the WiFi connection and I had to reset it to factory settings to get it to reconnect, which was very annoying, and awful design. Ofcourse that happened when I was out of town as well so it just sat useless for a few days, and I couldn’t see who was coming to my front door. Not only was the process of reconnecting it a massive waste of time, there was no reason for it to disconnect from the WiFi, it never went down. Functionality is very hit or miss, and it doesn’t begin recording until motion is detected very close to it. Even on the highest sensitivity , it still doesn’t begin recording early enough, when motion is detected, so I constantly have to view events from the SD card. When answering a doorbell ring, there is ALWAYS a problem with the 2 way audio. Either they can’t hear me or I can’t hear them. Very frustrating. I also don’t like that you have to install the battery even if you’re using wired power. I haven’t found the package camera to be useful at all, and it would be nice if there was a view option that combined the image from the 2 cameras. Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend this doorbell camera the way it functions currently, unless you absolutely need a battery powered doorbell cam, especially for its current price. I’m Thinking of replacing this with the black Wyze wired v2 doorbell cam, if the WiFi disconnects one more time. I have the cheaper, black Wyze wired v2 cam at another home and it’s excellent with zero issues. It has the same excellent picture quality, it’s a much smaller size, has microSD card storage, and cost half the price. It also detects motion from a proper distance, and has never disconnected.

I do not recommend this product — the camera constantly freezes during calls, making it impossible to use.

A great doorbell camera with lots of features. Install was easy especially with the battery. We simply removed the basic doorbell and placed the mount for this one over that spot. Camera quality is great. The app has tons of detection features. We had to tweak the detection systems a few times as it was at first picking up everything and then missing a lot of things. The package detection and secondary camera is great. Quality is clear. As we use other Wyze cameras and locks it integrates well and is even able to unlock the deadbolt (also Wyze) from the same screen while viewing a person at the door. It also uses the same batteries as the other Wyze devices so we just keep a spare charged and swap into the different Wyze cameras and deadbolt as needed which is great.

Great camera, great features, TERRIBLE battery life. If you cant hardwire it, pass. A 2nd battery is a must.

would be 5 stars if the doorbell notification was more streamlined like RING. there are workarounds but its a bit of a pain. but other than that, its a great addition to our ring system!
