Love this special dark sugar in my instant coffee. Gives a nice rich flavor with creme. My mom tells me her mom use to eat it like candy back in the day!

I used to have something like these in Okinawa. These taste like I remember. Melts in your mouth, slightly bitter, sweet. Good stuff.

I tried this Okinawan black sugar and it’s got a really different taste compared to regular sugar. It has a nice, sweet smell when you open the package. I was hopeful it would be good for my tea, but it didn’t sweeten it at all. One piece just couldn’t do the job for even a bowl of tea. I think it would work better in baked goods or other things that aren't liquid. The packaging is simple and it has some minerals, which is a nice bonus. But with only 18 pieces in a box, it runs out pretty quick. Pros: - Unique taste that’s different from regular sugar - Great smell - Simple packaging - Mineral boost Cons: - Not good for sweetening tea or other liquids - Only 18 pieces in a box - A piece can’t sweeten a bowl of tea

It’s a good size to eat and tasty. Great snack with green tea. I love them.
