Review: Great product easy to install. Nice clear picture on the screen. - I wasn’t too sure about this after I purchased it. I seem to have some problem, pairing it. As it turned out, the battery wasn’t fully charged. And after charging it overnight and following the instructions, it worked flawlessly. It was easy to install. The screen is small light and produces a quality picture. It stays on for 90 seconds after you start your vehicle. Plenty of time to back out of a parking place. After I installed it, I made sure that I checked the distance for each of the lines that are depicted on the screen the green, the yellow and the red so I had an idea of how far I was from objects. This is really a good product. We’ll see how long it lasts.
Review: Nice upgrade tp Solar ! - A few years ago, I bought an Autovox Solar 1 backup system for my Camry. I went with solar because I wanted easy installation. I was not disappointed. At that time, I lived in an area where it rarely rained. The backup system worked perfectly. Since that time, I moved to an area where it rains a lot, and the car was parked outside. A few months later, the battery was not holding charge. I contacted Autovox. Even though the warranty had expired quite a while ago, customer service representative (Gigi) sent me a new camera panel at a deeply discounted price. After some months, the battery on this camera seems not to hold charge. I say seems because, the charging seems inconsistent, sometimes holding charge and sometimes not. When I contacted Autovox, Gigi, (one of the two best customer service people that I ever encountered), recommended that I consider this system with a 5000mAh battery. I purchased the system. Once the system arrived, I charged the battery and as expected, installation was a snap. This is definitely an upgrade from my original system. The battery charger and the activation button are on the sides instead of at the bottom of the solar panel, which is more convenient. The monitor at 1080P gives a very crisp picture. The quality of the picture even in low light is good. The antenna is inside the monitor. It was a short stub on the previous system. This system also came with a monitor holder. The monitor cable is long enough that it could be routed to any convenient location. The monitor connector that plugs into the lighter has a USB charging port, very useful feature for charging the phone. (Solar 1 did not have that feature). The 5000mAh battery is nice. The camera comes alive when the car starts. The camera can also be activated by pushing the button on the plugin connector. a feature that I like. (Solar 1 also had this feature). The menu makes setup easy. I have not tested the dual camera feature yet. I am parking the car in the garage and will know in a year how the battery on this system holds up. I am happy that I bought this system. Big part of the reason to stick with Autovox is that they stand behind their product.

I wasn’t too sure about this after I purchased it. I seem to have some problem, pairing it. As it turned out, the battery wasn’t fully charged. And after charging it overnight and following the instructions, it worked flawlessly. It was easy to install. The screen is small light and produces a quality picture. It stays on for 90 seconds after you start your vehicle. Plenty of time to back out of a parking place. After I installed it, I made sure that I checked the distance for each of the lines that are depicted on the screen the green, the yellow and the red so I had an idea of how far I was from objects. This is really a good product. We’ll see how long it lasts.

A few years ago, I bought an Autovox Solar 1 backup system for my Camry. I went with solar because I wanted easy installation. I was not disappointed. At that time, I lived in an area where it rarely rained. The backup system worked perfectly. Since that time, I moved to an area where it rains a lot, and the car was parked outside. A few months later, the battery was not holding charge. I contacted Autovox. Even though the warranty had expired quite a while ago, customer service representative (Gigi) sent me a new camera panel at a deeply discounted price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but.... (revised after 1 month)

This backup camera was easy to install, seems to have a good battery, and has a very clear screen in most conditions, The monitor does need to be plugged into the cigarette lighter; and I'm okay with that. The monitor and camera start up when the car is started and the lighter is powered up, which is very convenient. It can also be activated with a button on the monitor, or one on the lighter dongle. but... On my older Nissan Pathfinder, the camera tilt, combined with the angular coverage of the camera is insufficient for accurately judging near distances when backing up. I wish that it had a wider angle on the lens! More impressions: The seller contacted me and offered to send me a magnetic attachment device, which was quite proactive on their part. When I first obtained this camera, I was hoping that it would provide the same vision that was available on our 2017 vehicle with a built in camera, and I tried to point the camera low enough to see what was directly behind the car at pavement level; but given the height of the bumper that was not likely to work, and I eventually raised the camera angle to be closer to level. This works much better because I can see further away with less distortion, and the information gives me better information about a vehicle behind me while parking. As a further note, I will reiterate that the screen is very clear, and the battery seems excellent for the purpose. I would not hesitate to buy it again.
