Update: (4/13/2025) After returning the first tent and ordering another, I can only conclude that Coleman has ZERO quality control or standards anymore. The second tent arrived with fewer holes in the rain fly, but with various other issues including seams that are already coming apart. See pics. First and last pics are of the first tent, pic 2-4 are of second tent. (4/5/2025) Believe the negative reviews. On first assembly, one clip broke while applying very little force to it. Once I got the rainfly on, it looked like the night sky with how many holes are in it. Waste of my time. Waste of a tent. If you purchase this tent, set it up before you go camping and check the rainfly and seams. I got a $25 refund from Amazon that I'm going to use for some tent repair products.

Set up was more difficult than the product page led you to believe, but knowing it was a 6 person sized tent I assumed up front it was going to be a bit of a challenge. I purposely chose to set up the tent solo since this is a family size tent and dad would probably be setting it up alone on a regular basis. I suggest reading the instructions. If you are used to setting up self standing tents then it is going to make pretty quick sense. There are two support systems involved. A crossing support system for the main body of the tent which is similar to most self standing tent set ups I have used. This one crosses poles at the top instead of a central junction. Then there is a frame for the "vestibule" area (not sure what else to call the added space area. This is area is structured by anchors (stakes) so not technically a self standing section. This pole frame layout seemed pretty simple and once I had the picture in my head it assembled pretty easily. A lot of the pole questioning is taken out as the poles are centrally connected with an elastic which keeps the poles together in the proper order while allowing to disassemble for easy storage. The clips attached to the tent are plastic so you do need to exercise some care in assembly and disassembly to the frames. These plastic connectors are pretty common among other free standing tents and I haven't had too much problem with them over decades of camping. These seem pretty similar to the common clips I have used. The main bottom section of the tent is a bathtub design for water resistance. There is no separate footprint for the tent. I generally cut some Tyvek sheets to create a footprint to protect the bottom from on ground hazards such as roots or rocks. The inside space is pretty enormous. Mind you I'm used to backpacking tents and this is way bigger, and heavier than anything I would use for that. But for camp outs or car support camping this is an excellent size. If you are only a couple people this is big enough to put in cots and be comfortable. Note: I tend to use oil tarps under cots to protect the floor from getting damage from the cot supports. Overall, I am pretty happy with this tent. I have assembled it a few times for practice and we used it once in the field. It did not rain that weekend. It breathes pretty well and I like you can assemble with the rain fly or leave the rain fly off if you choose. My preference in this type of tent is a double wall construction which this has the no see'um mesh and then the outer rain fly. This, along with the ventilation keeps a path for condensation to not collect inside the tent.
