VeeTee - Peri Peri Rice - Microwavable, Gluten Free, 280 g (Pack of 6)

I find cooking rice from scratch laborious. Either I do too much or it's too wet or dry and overcooked. I can't seem to get it right so prefer packaged microwave rice for ease. Even if you can cook rice yourself this is perfect for the occasion when you just don't have time or want something easy. The pack is the perfect size as a side for two people to accompany a meal or a whole pack for one of rice is the main affair. The flavour is brilliant and the rice is beautiful and fluffy, perfectly done every time. Much better than any other microwave packs. I find uncle Ben's is not even an option for me anymore as it sticks together and has a claggy texture but this rice never does and only takes 2 minutes

This rice is quite simply the best you can buy if you are not ordering from a restaurant! The rice takes only 2 mins to cook in the microwave which is very convenient for me and once ready is soft and fluffy, perfect to go with anything from curries to chilli to stroganoff! Much much tastier than boil in the bag or the uncle bens rice pouches. The price is excellent on Amazon and equated to less than £1 per tub which is cheaper than the supermarket unless there is a special offer! A food cupboard essential...stock up now!

The rice was really good, actually. Overall, I was extremely pleased. It has a very pleasing fragrance and a nice delicate flavour. Unfortunately the sixth pack was compromised (there must have been a small hole in the packaging), so the rice in that pack had gone off. I hope and expect that that problem was an exception, so I would order this again and recommend it.

I am torn between this and Tilda Brown Whole Grain Rice! Both are perfect, so it depends on the dish or my mood. Here, I get two generous portions per pack. With Curry, Chicken Soup or Buffalo Wings, yum! Two minutes in MicroWave, no washing up, @ less than 50p a portion, especially when bought on S&S its silly not to have in store cupboard.

This is very lovely rice - perfect for two people to accompany a meal. It's a better price than some competitors so that's why we chose it - the fact we don't hurt our hands on the steam coming out the microwavable bags is a plus as the dish and cover stays cooler than the bags do. All in all my newest favourite rice.

This is either the 2nd or 3rd delivery so had no problem. But been to open the box this morning and found that the rice was mouldy. Never seen any thing like it to be honest. The other packs in the box don't appear to be as bad as the first. But I am so annoyed as this should have been seen when sending out the package. It was on the top and should have been noticed. Will not buy from this seller again. Will go back to getting it from the supermarket. I know its not the product that's at fault its the seller. DISGUSTED!! now I just have to fight for a refund. Buyer beware!!

The contents themselves are fine, tasty and quick and easy to prepare, with a very generous portion. However, it is extremely frustrating that the packaging is so poor. The intention is that the plastic film cover should just be peeled away, and indeed a tab is provided and marked for this purpose. However the tab just breaks off, and one then has to slit all around the film cover with a knife, not what you need when you are in a hurry. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but nobody lets me down twice.

Love this rice but it’s gettng harder to find in supermarkets near me so was pleased to find it on Amazon. It turns out perfectly every time, I tend to microwave it for 3 mins rather than the 2 started. It’s so handy for making a paella stir fry main dish or as a side too. Each pack serves 2 as its very tightly packed into these punnets.
