Amazon Made Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote with TV controls, requires compatible Fire TV device

This remote has single-handedly ruined my fitness goals. Why would I stand up when I can just say things and they happen? I pressed one button and said, “Alexa, play something,” and boom: entertainment. No scrolling. No arguing with the TV. No accidentally opening the settings menu and questioning my life choices. The TV controls actually work, which already puts this remote in the top 1% of remotes worldwide. Volume up? Done. TV off? Done. Found the remote under the couch cushion after losing it for the 400th time? Still working. Absolute champ. Now my household dynamic is: Me: “Alexa…” TV: “Yes, my liege?” If you own a compatible Fire TV and don’t have this remote, you’re basically living in the Stone Age clicking buttons like a caveman. Five stars. Would surrender all other remotes to it without hesitation. 📺🔥

Very easy to get it working, didn't even have to look at the instructions. Feels a bit more solidly built than the original Firestick remote. So, hopefully it'll withstand being dropped better than the first one.

It's a geniuin Amazon remote control. Other cheap ones are available but they are all aftermarket

Amazon wouldn't post my last review because it focused too much on their lack of ability to replace the item under warranty despite it being the most simple of tasks. So here is my honest review of the product. (See update at end of review before deciding!) It didn't last 5 weeks before failing completely. As many other reviews mention, these fail regularly and eat batteries like money is no option. It's cheap tech , especially for the outrageous price of it and now you pretty much need one for use with the show 15 as they removed most touchscreen functionality to sell more of these remotes. I have not get managed to get a replacement under warranty so I am stuck with a broken remote as I refuse to pay another £30 for it. Do not buy one. UPDATE: After 4? Maybe 5 phone calls (some hours over a couple of days) someone new actually said yes no problem of course we can exchange that for you without any difficulty despite me being told multiple times it was impossible? I can only guess that Amazon fixed whatever issue selling then replacing it as part of a bundle was. The new device works just fine (for some months now) no battery issues either. Thanks mystery customer service rep. Rating upped. If it lasts a year I'll give it 5!

Was really easy to connect with my existing fire stick. Works well and has saved me having to buy a whole new fire stick

Ordered one of these as a replacement for FireTV Cube - 2nd Generation (as it says in the description it's compatible). When it arrived, it wouldn't pair (the FireTV cube was factory reset, on advice from Amazon). I couldn't get past the initial "pairing" stage of the setup process. Thought it may be faulty, so requested a replacement remote. The new one was delivered and it also didn't work. Tried also using the FireTV app - This will connect but again, will not let you get past the initial pairing setup screen. It's a genuine remote, from Amazon but sounds like this will only work as an "additional" remote, I.e. You already have access to the home screen and want to pair a replacement/additional remote. 2 of these remotes did not work for me and both are going to be returned for refund. I was looking for a replacement remote, for a device that was £130 when bought but looks like I've got no other option than to either purchase a completely new device (I like the FireTV Cube's as they are very fast and responsive, plus the added perk of having Alexa built in) or exploring other smart devices for the TV such as a Roku. I also can't afford to test other replacement remotes anymore, and there are so many cheap knock-offs on offer (directly through Amazon). I thought for £30, this genuine remote would work with my device, as noted as "compatible" in the description.

Ho acquistato questo telecomando e funziona perfettamente. L’associazione con la Fire TV è stata rapidissima e i comandi vocali con Alexa rispondono in modo preciso. I tasti sono comodi da usare e la qualità generale è ottima. Molto pratico per navigare nei contenuti senza dover digitare tutto manualmente. Prodotto davvero utile!

Ich nutze die Alexa-Sprachfernbedienung nun seit einiger Zeit mit meinem Amazon Fire TV und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Einrichtung ging schnell und problemlos, die Fernbedienung wurde sofort erkannt. Die Sprachsteuerung funktioniert zuverlässig und reagiert zügig. Sender, Apps oder Inhalte lassen sich bequem per Sprache starten. Auch die zusätzlichen TV-Steuerungstasten sind praktisch und ersetzen bei mir weitgehend die originale TV-Fernbedienung. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, die Tasten haben einen guten Druckpunkt und die Fernbedienung liegt angenehm in der Hand. Im Alltag ist sie übersichtlich und intuitiv zu bedienen. Fazit: Zuverlässige und praktische Fernbedienung, die den Fire-TV-Alltag deutlich komfortabler macht. Für alle, die Fire TV regelmäßig nutzen, eine klare Empfehlung.
