Was looking for an expansion micro SD to replace my older but reliable Sandisk Extreme 512GB micro SD card for use with my Odin 2 Portal, which a little over 2 years ago was $40 USD. In the current market, that price/GB with a quality reliable product is almost unheard of due to NAND shortages driving prices up. However, for the price/performance you're getting on this card compared to the top storage makers, such as Sandisk and Samsung, this thing is offering an amazing value compared to those other big brands (less the price of the bundled USB-C adapter item came to about $120 USD). Ordered a couple days ago bundled with the Silicon Power USB-C adapter (recommend to buy it bundled as not only will it be cheaper than buying card alone, but the included USB-C adapter will give you the rated transfer speeds when transferring files from your devices), and received the item later that evening with Amazon Prime same day shipping. Immediately hooked up to my PC and running it through testing. In testing, it's definitely hitting the advertised speeds for large file transfer read/write (see attached screenshot). More importantly, this card is hitting random read/write speeds truly in line with A2 rated cards (I bought and tested a TeamGroup 1TB A2 micro SD rated about the same as this and it didn't hit consistent rated speeds that ended up getting returned). All testing good. Card is indeed it's rated capacity and speeds are hitting what's advertised in synthetic testing. Transferring 265ish GB of data (consisting of ROM files and Steam games) from my old Sandisk Extreme took roughly a little over 2 hours. Single large ROM files would start out around 165mb/s and smaller files random read/write speeds would slow to 10-12mb/s. Major bottleneck transferring files from the Sandisk was the Sandisk Extreme card itself and the UHS-1 card reader and not this card itself. Transferring files from my much faster USB-C external SSD would see single files start at peak write speeds and then slow to around 40-50mb/s over time. Loading ROM files in emulators has been snappy and Steam games have also loaded fairly quickly for running from micro SD (as fast or faster than my Sandisk Extreme 512GB micro SD) with no hanging between loading scenes. This is where true A2 speeds and speedy random R/W operations is critical and a lot of cards, even those rated as A2 speed capacity tend to fall apart in real world testing. Only time will tell regarding reliability but I've had an A1 card from SP in my Switch OLED and it's held up steady for more than 6 months, so I feel it will hold up as well if not better. If you're looking for a fast, reliable external micro SD for a Switch, gaming handheld or Steam Deck type device, this is the one if you're not looking to pay $200 USD or more for one of the bigger brands such as Sandisk or Samsung. I've had a Sandisk Extreme A2 running strong but I believe I've found the replacement and can retire my old reliable (until I get my gamer son a gaming handheld and give him my old one to use). I usually don't leave reviews because I like to do thorough reviews, but with how many cards I've gone through bought through multiple marketplaces and having them either not meet advertised claims in real world use, or be outright fraudulent counterfit cards, I'm hoping this review is helpful for someone looking for a fast, relatively affordable and reliable card for cheaper than the big names in the game for their Steam Deck, Switch or gaming handheld. I absolutely love these cards. I collect retro gaming handheld devices and they each require a new card because the ones they initially come with are very bad and corrupt almost immediately. I have these cars on my Switch, Steam Deck Oled, Trimui Brick, R36S, Nintendo DSI XL, PSP 2001, Anbernic 406H, Anbernic 405M, Anbernic RG 40v, and Trimui Smart Pro. It's read and write speeds are faster than regular A1 cards on the market. The storage capacity is true to advertisement. It's not fake in any way. They're not lying about how good this is. It is simple to use like any other micro sd card and it comes with an adapter so that you can use it like the regular bigger SD cards if you're in need of that. Packaging is easy to open. It keeps up well with taking videos with your camera. Seems to have no issues. Fresh brand new card with 0 writes. You can't go wrong with buying this.

Size legit, but it becomes very slow to transfer larger files.

I’m really impressed with this SD card! I picked it up for my camera, and it’s been working flawlessly. The transfer speeds are legit—I can move 4K video files over in no time without any hiccups. Started off ok enough but once the card had only about 10% space left, performance dropped off a cliff. Transfer rates to the card fluctuate drastically far more than what is typical, no matter the size of the files. Deleting files to make more space didn't restore write performance to what I initially saw., which was average but appropriate for the spec. Now it's below average and unstable. I fear the card is already failing or defective. But since you can only really check format size on SD cards, I'll have to roll the dice and hope it doesn't fail altogether. This will be my last Silicon Power purchase, though. I've used them in the past just fine but things change and it seems they have.

I’m always wary of SD or TF cards as there are many fakes out there - even on Amazon. They claim to a certain large size and your computer will confirm that but, in reality, they are 16 or 32Gb chips - I have my test program. These test OK and are fine, but it may still be worth doing you own test.
