Works well and an easy install

I purchased the Wavlink AC1200 so I would have Wi-Fi to all areas of my home, workshop, and yard. The unit I received had a problem and would not work for more than a day or so. Wavelink has awesome customer service. They helped me every way they could to fix the issue. After no luck I received a new product to replace my faulty unit.The AC1200 is a great product. I’ve had no issues and it works great to extend your Wi-Fi around your home or workshop. I’m happy to give the unit 5 stars. I give Wavlink 10 stars for their customer service.

I’ve been upgrading my home, shop and garage with smart home features and my WiFi coverage was a bit weak at my shop which is about 150 feet from my router. Also, down in the garage, which is on the opposite side of my house, my signal sometimes was weak or would drop, depending on the weather, etc. This booster helped solve those issues and now I have good coverage all around my property, even getting two bars at the end of my driveway which is almost 500 ft away.The signal degrades quite a bit if the booster is behind a structure, such as, my garage devices are probably 30-40 feet around the corner and inside, I’m only getting two bars that close to the booster. Right now, I have it temporarily mounted about 6 ft off the ground and about middle ways behind my house. I haven’t mounted the booster permanently yet as I wanted to test it to be certain everything worked and to determine where the most optimal point would be so if this issue changes, I’ll update this review.Assembling the unit isn’t very difficult, just follow the instructions and you’ll be okay. One word of advice, there’s a thick rubber plug which you are supposed to run the Ethernet cable through but I only saw one small hole that the cable end absolutely would not fit through. I slit the plug on the side into that small hole and inserted the cable that way. Maybe my plug wasn’t made properly, who knows, but what I did worked fine and does not affect the seal or integrity of the plug.The set up process can be a bit tricky as you have to go online and configure things, etc. and the instructions aren’t written very clearly on this aspect but I was able to get through it and get mine working without any assistance from the company. My advice is to just take your time, follow the steps closely and cal customer service if you can’t figure it out.Overall, so far, I’m happy with the product’s performance because it definitely works and has boosted my WiFi signal quite a bit. I like that it has 2.4 and 5G options because some products will not work on one or the other. I definitely recommend this as a good product to give you the boost in coverage you need.

This item works exactly as described it covers about five acres of land

EXTREMELY difficult to set up, but fiinally managed it after watching 7 year old YouTube videos. Then, the kicker! In all the advertising photos, this looks like a wireless setup - IT'S NOT. It has to be plugged in to the little box AND an ethernet cable for it to work. Because this is not what I wanted, I didn't even bother to test range, because I need it in the halfway point for it to accomplish what I need. (There isn't any power or structures, other than trees, up that way).Big disappointment, and I will be returning this.

Works great. was easy to setup

Great unit, but not that easy to setup, and will not work with POE from my POE switch, so I have to provide power at remote location. It does provide excellent coverage once past all the hurtles.
