Gabb Phone 4 - Kids Phone, GPS Tracker, No Internet, Black

We love the GABB phone! I HIGHLY recommend this to all parents/ children. I am a child and family therapist. I am deeply concerned about the developmental impacts of social media and the addictive properties of traditional phones that offer full access to the internet and apps. The GABB phone allows my 14 year old daughter to be safely in contact with us and her friends, under the supervision and guidance of her parents and protection of the built in safety features of the GABB phone. Our children are in critical phases of brain/ social/ emotional development. They need the guidance and oversight of the mature adults in their lives. The GABB phone seems designed with healthy brain/child development as a core value. Thank you GABB!

This is a great phone! I’ve had no problems with reception. It has the same appearance as the really expensive phones but it’s much safer and less expensive. I can see exactly what messages are going back and forth, who’s calling and where my son is and I can manage his contacts. The battery life lasts for hours with continued use. The camera can stay uninstalled so you don’t have to worry. Customer service for Gabb is incredible. They helped me set it up because I’m a bit older and not up to par on today’s technology. Its durability is obvious. I expect it will last a long time! Thank you Gabb!

I carefully considered all my options in getting my children their first phone for use as a mobile house phone. This one seemed like the perfect choice for our family. I wanted a smartphone for the location tracking for when my son was off in the neighborhood and so the kids could learn how to text the way the majority of us do (as opposed to using T9 on a flip phone), and I liked that this was incapable of scrolling apps or unfettered Internet access. This phone was at a good price for Christmas and offered a free month of service, so it seemed like a good time to make it happen. Right out of the box, after setting it up and picking a service plan, I knew this was a mistake. It functions like a bloated old phone that can’t handle updates. On top of that, you have the option as a parent to add some extra apps from the website, and every one I clicked on gave me an error message and didn’t load, which is for the best because the battery life is absolute trash. This phone, right out of the box and with no extra apps or pictures or videos and without any serious use, cannot hold a charge for more than a day, and then it takes hours to reach a full charge. We have to charge it overnight to make sure it gets a full charge. I’ve been charged already for the first month of service, even though they’re advertising a free month. I was able to switch from a two year contact to month-to-month (because I don’t see this phone lasting two years), and I spoke to a person when doing so. The only reason I’m not pushing to return it is because my kids love having a phone & I can’t afford a better phone right now, but I do feel scammed. I plan on getting a new older model iPhone or Android and utilizing parental controls and apps in the coming year.

Got the Gabb Phone 4 for my 5th grader, and it’s exactly what I hoped for. It’s simple, safe, and keeps them connected without all the distractions of social media or random apps. The phone feels sturdy and has just enough features (calling, texting, camera) to keep them happy and me worry-free. Battery life is solid—it easily lasts a full day of use. The parental controls are easy to set up and give me peace of mind knowing they’re not glued to the screen or stumbling onto something they shouldn’t. If you’re looking for a first phone for your kid that does the basics without opening the floodgates to the internet, this is it. No frills, no fluff, just what they need.

I was hesitant to get my 8 year old a phone, but loving this phone as an option!

It’s a great phone for kids, youth or adults who need a locked-down phone. We have an adult IDD who needed a safe phone for calling texting and location tracking. Easy to set up. Great price. Great cell service and perfect for our needs.

Perfect first phone for kids very user friendly and give me comfort knowing I can call or reach when need.

I’m a huge fan of the device for my son who has special needs. Having no internet and social media takes so much stress out of him having a phone, as well as having control of who he has as contacts. He can communicate only with who we need him to be able to communicate with. I will say that managing his device could be easier. It seems Gabb is in the process of updating this, hopefully that update makes this process more smooth and straight forward. It also took several hours for the device to completely set up and have all the capabilities it should on the plan we purchased.
