Whitmor Deluxe Utility Closet - 5 Extra Strong Shelves - Removable Cover

I bought this to store my clothes because my roommates are smokers and I hate the smoke smell. It has worked flawlessly to help keep the smoke away, and give me some extra storage space. It was easy to install and has been exceptionally sturdy since! This was my first time buying furniture on Amazon but I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. I shopped around heavily and this was the best price for a covered closet. Definitely recommend!Update 2025: Just under a year old but this is hanging in there! It's still sturdy. Hasn't become wobbly or anything of that nature. Zipper works perfectly. Definitely happy with this!

It is slightly tricky to put together and while it says no tools are needed, you really do need a rubber mallet. That being said I didn't really have any trouble at all - took me about 45 minutes. Very sturdy and the perfect size for additional storage. I love that it has a cover - keeps things neat and tidy looking. My cover did tear as I was pulling it over the top (so be careful). I sent an email to their customer service and they responded very quickly and are sending me a new one! Very pleased with the product and their customer service is excellent!!

Received this closet today and have to say that it’s quite sturdy. Metal bars, metal shelves, easy to assemble by hand... not sure what others are talking about when they say it’s flimsy. That’s not my experience.That said, I’ve owned about 5 different types of these things, and the plastic bars that hold the shelves together are exactly the same as the other units. So they may bend over time. But for now — this thing holds more clothes than any of the other units I have.I do, however, have one big complaint: it’s short. I am not huge (5’11”), but even so my shirts and suit jackets would need about 6” more vertical space in order to hang freely. See the attached photos. It works fine for pants or waist-length jackets, and I’m sure it would be great if you were much shorter than me (and thus have correspondingly smaller clothes), but there’s not even a chance that my stuff will fit in a way that doesn’t cause wrinkles over time.The height isn’t a deal breaker for me since this is long-term storage anyway (and frankly it would be too much of a pain to disassemble and repack/return, especially given that all other closets seem to be the same height), but if you’re of any decent size then I recommend going with a single-rod setup (which I was specifically trying to avoid, to save on space).One caveat: I’ve owned this product for less than a day, so I may update this later if it falls apart quickly.

The closet is very easy to build up and in great quality. I can see it standing for years without problems. To get a good deal for extra clothes storage, I searched most options below $60 on Amazon. For a second, I was more for the cheaper ones which did not look bad. Glad that I chose this pretty finally. It has the optimal structure and the double-layer design saves you money to buy an additional closet hanger. Plus it comes with a grey closet cover which is easy to maintain. Highly recommend to anyone who looks for a stable closet if your budget is not too tight. Totally worth it.

I read mixed reviews about this product, but Im glad I went ahead and ordered 2. They are perfect. They are so stable and hold so much. People wrote that they are hard to put together, but they weren't at all. I do suggest using a rubber mallet just to make sure everything is secure. Took less then 45 min to put both together. Cover fits great. and allowed me to line up shoes on the top. Makes everything much more organized. Another thing I kept reading was that the hangers don't fit, but they fit just fine. I can only see them not fitting if you have overly large hangers? Normal ones, no problem. I give this 5 stars, will update later if anything changes

This unit is easy to assemble and has a decent amount of storage. If I wasn't using it as a piece of furniture I would've kept it. But, since I am, there are 2 drawbacks. #1. The cloth cover that fits around the frame is quite snug. So snug that when I unzipped to load it with clothes and items I could not zip it back up. #2. Since I need it to look as a piece of my decor this unit did not serve this purpose. After it is assembled and the cloth doors are zipped up, it reminded me of a voting booth ( when we once had them) . If your going to use it in a basement or somewhere that you'll not mind the items showing, it's great. Easy to assemble and surprisingly strong.

Just as shown, easy to assemble and doesn’t take much space. I looks amazing nice and stable I got it for my brother since he is temporarily staying with me great organizing his belongings.

I previously had two utility closets I purchased from Walmart to house mine and my girlfriends clothes. Both of them started to lean/fall apart in a matter of months. I had concerns about this product not being sturdy enough, but I decided to give it a try. Immediately after constructing it, I could tell that it was way better than my previous utility closet. It is sturdy and doesn’t wobble and it can fit a lot of clothes. The cover for the closet fits on nicely and doesn’t bulge, the zippers glide nicely and don’t catch on everything. I really enjoy this closet and will be sure to update my review later after it’s been used longer!
