As described. My husband and I wanted a mat that would work for both of our pain tolerance and not need to get the next depth too soon. So we opted for the mid level. I have a higher pain tolerance, but he has used multiple times and enjoys the relaxation after the initial few minutes of discomfort. I have used a few times and my shoulder to butt fit on the mat and use the neck pillow. The first few minutes are a challenge but with a meditation or nice music I can breathe through it. I’ve only used on the floor, but am going to use on top of blankets to try and off load the increased pressure dispersement on butt and upper back due to my lumbar arch. My husband has used k. Top of a mattress and like it. The size works well for both of us. He is 6’7 and I 5’6”. He uses for the back only. Quality and appearance is classy.

Love hate relationship - wow this is definitely an experience. Took about 10 to 15 seconds of major discomfort and then a beautiful calm in the entire body and mind. Shakti changed my life. As a professional circus artist and person dealing with chronic back pain nothing gives me more pain relief than this little spikey mat.
