My wife and I have been using the TECHEF Stovetop Indoor Korean BBQ Grill Pan for two years now, cooking Korean BBQ every couple of months just for the two of us. We use it with a portable gas stove, and it works wonderfully. **What We Love:** - **Perfect for Two:** The pan is a bit large for just us, but we actually like having the extra space to grill different meats and veggies at the same time. - **Simple Cleanup:** The nonstick surface is fantastic. After two years, it’s still holding up well because we always use wooden or silicone utensils and hand wash it. Cleanup is super easy, especially since the pan drains fat and grease so efficiently. - **Grease Drain:** We use a mug to catch the drippings from the side hole, which works perfectly and keeps our food from getting greasy. **One Small Issue:** The only downside is that the pan actually drains the fat and grease *too* well. Sometimes, when we want to cook our veggies in a little bit of the meat drippings for extra flavor, it’s hard to keep enough grease on the pan. The design is great for keeping things healthy, but if you love those veggies cooked in savory drippings, you might have to scoop a little of the grease back onto the pan from your mug (which we’ve done a few times!). Got this to do Korean BBQ at home and it actually works really well. The nonstick surface makes a big difference — meat doesn’t stick much and cleanup is way easier than I expected. It heats up pretty evenly, and the design helps drain some of the grease, so it doesn’t feel too oily when cooking. I’ve used it a few times already and it’s been solid. Not exactly the same as restaurant KBBQ, but definitely good enough if you just want to grill at home without the hassle. Overall pretty happy with it.

I've only used this once so far but for that one meal we were so impressed. I started doing Korean BBQ at home and just used a frying pan on the portable gas stove. It worked fine, but the oil would collect too quickly for me to drain and oil would explode and cleanup was not fun. So I searched trusty Amazon for something made for Korean BBQ. I found this. I was amazed and a little skeptical of the near 5 star reviews but it looked nice and seemed perfect for what I needed. The piece of pork belly we used was especially fatty, not great quality but it was from Costco and was cheap. I place my little bowl under the drip spout and was amazed that it almost filled up with fat after two rounds of pork belly! I was now in love because I didn't have to drain it between batches and a lot of fat drained out. And the fat was relatively clean and I strained it once and save it to cook later. The pork belly still splattered oil everywhere but I didn't have the huge explosive splatters that burned me constantly. I think when we do a less fatty meat it should help. I was also impressed that the heat distribution was fairly even. My meats on the sides cooked almost at the same time as the meats in the middle. Toward the far edges it did lose a little heat but not much. And clean up was a breeze. After it cooled down I just used the sponge side of my scrubby with some dish soap and everything came out so easily. I'm not sure how this will last long term, but I plan on only using medium heat and never putting it in the dishwasher. I hope it helps with longevity. I have not tried marinated meats so I hope cooking marinate meats doesn't change how easy it is to clean.

Pros : light weight, holds up to heat, truly nonstick, easy to clean, thin cuts of meat sizzles and cooks well, oil drain channels and drain hole works well and a surprisingly good design. Cons: sits high on a butane grill so more lost heat. Heat transfer much less than SS grill that are induction capable on the same butane grill. Less effective for thicker cuts of meat (more sauté than sizzle grilling). Drain hole requires a small jar that needs to fit next to butane stove so it depends on the butane stove itself (worked for my stove though). Best heat is only in the center of the grill, losing effective grill space on the periphery. This is from the domed shaped design of the grill. Best use: outdoor camping where you need light weight grill; at home where you don’t need very hot grilling and just for very thin slices of brisket; more sautéing than high heat grilling for that crispy charred meat.

We eat at Korean bbq's often enough that we also do it at home. We've tried different pan's but so far this one is the best. The swirl design along with the slope of the pan allows excess oils and fat to drain out of the hole keeping the pan from building up with too much gunk. It also keeps the pan from creating too much smoke which other pans didn't do. Other pans we've used made so much smoke we had to use a air filter machine so the smoke detector wouldn't keep going off. That didn't happen once with this pan and we were cooking on it for an hour or so. The pan is large so you can cook quite a bit of meat on there at one time. The aluminum material keeps the pan light and heat distribution is great. I didn't notice any hot spots where I had to keep moving the meat around. Clean up is as easy as it gets. Either hand wash or dishwasher, it's so easy. This pan is actually better than ones used at most of the Korea bbq places we've eaten at. Even those had to be changed out often, unlike this pan where we cooked the whole time without having to change it out. I would definitely recommend this pan to anyone thinking about cooking Korean bbq or any other foods at the table. 7/22/19 Update: I like this grill pan so much that I bought 3 more. That way when we have our large family gatherings, we can have 4 pans going at one time. This will also relieve me of doing all the cooking lol. Everybody gets to participate in the cooking making it more fun. I'm still amazed how it doesn't smoke and the food doesn't stick to the pan. This will make a great gift for friends and family so they can enjoy it at home. I guess I'm buying more pans.

Pan has some weight so it keeps it's temperature relatively stable, as compared to a cheaper, lighter one I had previously. My family uses these pans on top of butane stoves every new years eve to cook up veggies and meats and eat it right from the pan. There's a drain hole, which I put a diy oil catch to capture all the excess oil. Very easy to clean, the non-stick seems to work well enough even after a year of use.

Ever since covid, we often do our own kbbq at home. I used from electric grills to gas stove top. I like this one the best. It heats evenly and fast. It has a large cooking surface. It is light weight, I brought it to our camping trip. Very convenience! I used a little glass bottle to catch the drips with no problem. So far, I only use it with the portable gas stove, not yet in the big stove since I don't intend to use it other than for kbbq. It has non-stick surface. I cooked eggs on it with ease. It feels like it made of good material. It is sturdy and sits fine on the stove. One of the great thing is it is a breeze to clean! Nothing sticks to it! I'm very happy with this grill pan.

I tried this 3 times already since I bought it, it’s great for home Korean style dinners. it’s non-stick and cooks even with less oil and does not stick. Although, I received a call and messages from the seller insisting to leave a review by clicking on their link. It’s a red flag for me, so I choose to leave my feedback on the amazon app.

I’ve seen and tried a few Korean bbq hot plates but many left the meat sticking to the plate. Fortunately, this one is amazing. The meat never sticks and I feel I’m eating a slightly healthier meal thanks to the clever design which allows excess fat to drip out of the pan. Cleaning is so easy as you can simply get a damp paper towel and wipe off all the additional fat. I’ve bought 3 more (as gifts) and would definitively recommend this to anyone who wants to experience Korean bbq at home.

I bought this because we wanted to have Korean BBQ at home with family and it's worked out great. We've had it for a few weeks now and we've used it a handful of times already. It's nice and thick, so it's not made from some cheap material. We usually let it preheat on the butane stove for a few minutes first so that the temp is even across the entire plate. It's non-stick, so cleaning it afterwards is really easy. The grease drainage hole on the side works very well in having all the grease drain off into a mason jar. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking to have Korean BBQ at home.
