Dimensions Width - 3.5 inch (9 cm) Height - 5.1 inch (13 cm) Length - 2 inch (5 cm) Tiffany technique This technique inherited the name from its inventor, Lewis-Comfort Tiffany, thanks to whose activities in the early XX century stained glass was experiencing a real blossoming: its trends radically influenced the style of that era. In Tiffany, dyes were found inside a glass sheet, so there was no need to somehow further process the surface of the stained glass, did not need to apply the picture. Another important innovation was the method of preliminary layout of the stained glass: at first the glass was fused with a thin strip of copper, then fitted to a certain model; in the end, they were joined by the method of tin soldering. Until the time of the introduction of all these innovations, the technique of manufacturing stained glass involves the use of profiles of lead, in the grooves of which directly inserted the glass itself. That is, thanks to the invention of tiffany technique, it became possible to produce very complex stained-glass windows with a detailed drawing.
