In order to have more desktop space, I started reviewing the various options for mounting my laptop, looking at both wall mounts and desktop stands. I elected not to do a wall mount since there could be limitations created by where I placed it, and also because of the aesthetics in the particular room the laptop is in. Therefore, the greater versatility of a desk mount won. My next concern was ensuring the desk mount was super stable and secure so that there was little to no chance of damage to the laptop by falling. The Liquid Laptop stand is excellent in providing stability and versatility. The design ensures that there is no way this stand will loosen until I choose to move it. And, moving it is an easy option. The mount has a bar to tighten and loosen the padded clamp that wraps around the edge of the desktop so that I can move the laptop mount easily as needed. The platform on which the laptop sits is quality metal, fully padded, with a padded lip to keep the laptop from sliding off when at an angle. There are multiple screw holes in the platform which provide options for placing the laptop at the best angle and distance. This is an impressive stand, and I was even more impressed to find inside the packaging, a card that the owner of the company included, providing his phone number in case I needed any help. Definitely recommend this laptop mount!

Application: bedroom rig; two-tiered Z-stand, Laptop Desk Mount on bottom, angled support rail Admittedly, I had this completely irrational loathing for this product before I even ordered it. I was frustrated that I couldn’t find an application or product that would affix to the bottom, angled support rail of my off-brand Z-stand (it’s a GOFEI and ended up being an excellent stand for my needs). I kept coming back to this product because 1. it’s a Liquid Stands product (good reputation) and 2. it was pretty close to what I was looking for, but there were no dimensions or images to indicate that this would work in my application. I decided to roll the dice, receive it, evaluate it, and see if I could modify it or find some super clamps that I could mount it to, that would then attach to the angled bottom support rail of my Z-stand. I’m just fuming while I wait for it to arrive, knowing for sure that it wouldn’t work. It shipped quickly and arrived in a sturdy box with clever “safety seals” (seals with hardhats, lol) to indicate whether the box had been opened previously or not. This box was sealed. I opened it up and the contents were packaged well. The flat, padded surface of the stand was bubble wrapped and there were two, long, brown cardboard boxes. I opened the first one and it was empty. I’m like “STRIKE ONE!!” and just ready to come unglued. I open the second box and the stand was inside, bubble wrapped, pre-assembled, and ready to go. I suspect the empty box was just to prevent things from shifting in transit. I set to attaching the Desk Mount to the bottom support rail of my Z-stand. It ended up working perfectly. The vice-style mounting bracket is padded on both surfaces and the smaller mounting surface that moves with the tightening bolt, aligned perfectly with the width of the angled rail. **For those with a bottom support rail on a Z-stand or similar stand that is angled (think diamond shaped, versus a standard rail that would run parallel to the floor), this will actually work!!** I attached the Laptop Desk Mount at an angle, secured it tightly, and then pitched the flat stand surface at an angle, so that whatever I put on it would sit flat—in this case, a ZOOM LiveTrak L-12 mixer. Worked like a charm without any modifications, or headache for that matter. I laughed at my initial irrational upsetness. In reality, it all worked out really well. Don't write reviews often but gotta give these guys their props. I've bought other items of theirs in the past and really liked them. Got this one today and was impressed enough to find a reason to buy a second. I also love that the company is based in the US.

I absolutely love this stand. The build quality is solid, sturdy, and extremely reliable. It feels premium and easily supports my setup without any wobble. The adjustability is smooth. What really impressed me was the packaging. The Liquid Stands team did an amazing job — everything was secure, well-protected, and thoughtfully organized. It honestly made the whole unboxing experience feel professional and high quality. Big shoutout to Mike and his team — keep doing it this way. It really shows that you care about your product and your customers. Highly recommended.

This thing really does hold good and stays in place. Very sturdy and very professional looking.

The build construction for this stand is excellent. It is rigid, well padded, and easy to install. It was also packed with whimsical stickers which I enjoyed. It is somewhat inflexible however, it holds a laptop or tablet at a shallow angle only, and I was hoping to use it for some audio equipment that needed a much steeper angle. Is excellent as a laptop stand.

Really skookum laptop holder. Perfect product for mechanics that are looking to add a laptop stand to their tool box without taking up too much precious top working real estate. Side lip can only be installed at left side tho.
