They work shockingly well
Ok, these things work far better than anything costing 7 bucks has any right to. I bought some $1,500 whole-cut Oxford formalwear shoes that were just a little bit roomy on the top. Yeah, yeah, everyone's first thought is for that kind of money, the shoes should fit like the Lord Himself crafted them in my mother's womb. But.... I have flat feet so they fit fine in terms of the footbed and width, but I couldn't lace them up tight enough to get them properly snug on the top of my foot. A half size smaller would have been too snug all the way around. So, I figured for a few bucks I'd give these a try. Seriously, they make a huge difference! Now I lace them up and they fit perfectly. No heel sliding or slipping at all. I'm wearing these shoes now after putting them on and they feel great. The pads themselves were not as thick as I thought they would be, but I guess it's enough! And I'm sure you could double up if you needed to. As for how long they will last? I think they will last plenty long enough, and for 7 or 8 bucks, who cares? I'll fit another pad if I need to in the future. I'm super glad that my super-expensive shoes now fit beautifully!

These work great in a western boot
I usually have a problem with the width of a shoe. Narrow cowboy boots can be too tight and normal width can sometimes be too loose. This pair of boots was a little loose in the vamp area. I put these felt tongue pads in the boots right in the vamp area and it snugs the boot up to my foot just right so not only do they fit correctly now it removed all of the heel slip in the boot. I find it easier to add these tongue pads to a boot rather than to buy a narrow boot and try to stretch the leather because the leather always rebounds. So if your cowboy boots are a little bit loose through the vamp area causing a lot of heel slip, throw a pair of these things in they'll fit perfect

Works perfectly
I use these on all my slip on loafers. They secure your heel to back of shoe and stop heel from popping out. Also found you can cut in half and use on flip flops straps for a tighter fit

Holds Heel In Place
The tongue pads do a good job of holding the heel in place. It's comfortable. Slightly difficult to put in place exactly as I want it, but it is still effective.

Comfortable
Made my penny loafers so much more comfortable. It wasn’t even the brand or materials that was bad on my shoes it’s just hard to get them dialed in for all day max comfort and these helped tremendously

Work great
Great for narrow feet that slip

Not a lot of cushion/comfort
These go flat as soon as you put your shoes on. Im not expecting a world of difference in comfort after putting them on, but its almost as if you didn't put anything on at all. Because the material goes flat right away, they don't provide any grip, support, or sizing support as well. It's too thin to actually do anything and won't be a product you can use long term.
