What is the coffee to water ratio for this?

Experiment and see. I use 5 heaping teaspoons of ground coffee, but it can depend on the kind of coffee and how long it "brews".

Can you use any coffee?

Yes! You can use any coffee you wish. You need to grind coarsely so it will filter properly. There are coffees that do better with cold brew, but I experiment with a lot of different coffees.

What is the coffee to water ratio for this?

I don;t remember exactly what the ratio was. I had to do some searching, but what i came up with is that I fill the filter with coffee and then fill the canister the rest of the way with water. I think that came to be 6 cups. This is what worked for me. I hope this helps. Some directions in the box would have been VERY helpful...LoL
