(Updated)During a vacation in Hawaii, I lost my Xiaomei fitness band (Fitbit imitation) while at the airport. While I liked the band and its capabilities, the loss may have actually been a blessing in disguise as it forced me to do a search for a replacement and, in the process, discover smart watches with far more features, including this one. I chose this particular brand/model because it appeared to have all the features of competing products but at about half to two-thirds the cost. For what I paid, I am pleased with the impressive array of functions, including step counter, text/ phone alert, sleep monitor, heart rate monitor, stop watch, calculator and a host of others. You can also choose from a wide variety of watch faces, both analog and digital, and even create a personalized one with a photo.The watch does have some shortcomings. For one, the sleep monitor is certainly wonky, at times counting my late-night reading time as sleep time. For another, it appears that it does not start counting steps until your arms are moving/ swaying (e.g., it may not count your steps if the arm with the watch is held still). Overall, however, so long as you don't need complete accuracy, considering cost and functions, this is a good buy for under twenty dollars.

Ok, I must admit, when I saw all the 5 star reviews on this "cheaper" watch, I was REALLY skeptical. I need a smart watch for phone calls and RESPONDING to text messages (which is hard to find) as well as for receiving notifications. I don't need it for health tracking (as I have the ultrahuman ring for that). I've been looking for what seems like FOREVER for an affordable smart watch with text response capabilities. I've FINALLY FOUND IT!Anyway, I'm actually shocked! This is a really decent watch so far and has everything I need! The HaloFit companion app is really nice and allows for a lot of customization.You can customize the watch face, add your location for current weather, it has quick reply for text messages, which are customizable (I love this!) And this watch now allows for 30 contacts to be stored in the phone for quick calling. Most other third party smart watches only allow 8 to 10.The watch has notification sounds which is pleasant and you can adjust the sound or just turn it completely off. The vibration mode has 3 settings also and seems to get my attention nicely unlike other brands I've tried.The watch band is really nice and soft too. Very velvety soft and comfortable.So far my only beef with it is that I can't get the weather location to reset. The watch itself is showing weather for the neighboring city (which is only 15 minutes away) but the app shows my home location and city, so I'm not sure why that is. It's not a deal breaker for me though. I basically just want text and call capabilities which I have now!If you're looking for an affordable smart watch, you certainly need to give this a try. It's a lot of bang for only a few bucks.

I was hopeful that after trying a different watch before this one that didn't provide what I was looking for that this one would be the right one for me. However, I'm sadly disappointed that I may have to send this one back too. I really wanted this one to work as I love the features it has. Everything about it is great, except for some odd reason I cannot receive or reply to text messages (SMS).I use other apps for messaging as well and those come through on my watch fine but I can't reply to them though either from my watch. It only gives me the option to ignore the message and delete it. I have the notifications turned on and have allowed all the permissions necessary but it still doesn't seem to work. So this isn't very useful for me for texting unfortunately.I am able to make calls from it (not sure about receiving them yet) but the texting is not working. I like the quick reply options for texting as well that the watch offers. Just would be nice if I could actually use them and send them out when I need to. I really wanted a watch that I could use for that purpose (for work) but unfortunately I can't use that feature. I love everything else about it for the fitness/health tracking and I am able to play music on it but the texting feature was the main feature I really needed to work.I thought I'd be able to do speech to text on it as well to respond to messages but I can't. I was hoping that by having the watch I wouldn't have to pull out my phone all the time to see and respond to messages. I'm still having to do that with this one. Stinks to have to send it back because it's a really great watch for the price otherwise. If you don't need/want the watch for texting purposes, this is a great watch at an affordable price. If you do however, you may wish to look for something else because you won't be able to respond to anyone from the watch and you may not get the SMS messages either. 😏

This watch is perfect. It tracks everything, your sleep, exercise, periods, fasting etcetera. I will recommend this watch to any and everyone. You can also put an alarm and there are multiple wall papers you can use and answer your phone. It also has a calendar so if you have an appointment, you can put it on the calendar. The app ( HaloFit) and watch are very easy to use.

Great watch! Synced up to my phone quickly and does everything i need it to do. Works as well if not better than the watch i spent $200 for and had a plan with my cell phone carrier, will not do that ever again.
