New York Times Wirecutter section did a rave review of Kunz spoons. I bought one to try. Surprise, surprise. They are truly as useful as suggested. The mainstream version is 2.5 X larger than a tablespoon. The size, shape and balance makes them great for finish basting on seared steaks, portion control when used for plating sides, and as general serving spoons If you don't cook, they may not mean a lot. But if you spend enough time at the stove, you have to appreciate the number of things these spoons can do for you.

The spoon is everything other reviewers report -- substantial capacity and quality, right-sized and shaped, and very handy in the kitchen for multiple uses. It adds a functional utensil to a cook's range of cooking tools.

This is a quality utensil (is that what you call a spoon?). It is beautiful and heavy. I just wish I could find more uses for a spoon that size. Maybe if I served guests more often?

Quality is good, the design is good, functions perfectly as a Kunz spoon at a lower cost that the original Kunz.

Absolutely lovely. Weighted perfectly and sauces professionally. Amazing how much difference a simple spoon can make. Fun fact - Noticed it being used by a chef on an award winning television show!

Perfection. Makes a nice gift

Just the right size for so many tasks. Reach for this spoon daily. At almost 3 Tbsp great for serving and cooking-basting. Now own 2 so one is always ready to grab and use.

Too expensive but precise as promised.

Please be aware that is a knockoff of the original Kunz spoon. That aside, this spoon has all the features of the original. It seems well made - stainless steel. I will still enjoy working with it.

Unfortunately, not all spoons are created equal. This JB Prince Kunz spoon is definitely no contender for the real deal. I didn't realize that I wasn't buying an original and upon further review I can see that the brand name (BNAZIND) is very visible in the listing so I am fully at fault. If you're not too picky this spoon is fine. But if you're looking for a Kunz spoon after hearing all the hype around it I dont think this is the product for you. Go with JB Prince or just get a cheaper offering from Mercer.
