How long does it keep once mixed into a gel and would it need to be kept in the frige, or does it go off pretty quickly?

I have only ever kept it for about 7 or 8 hours, it doesn’t really go back to a liquid or anything. I’ve never kept it in the fridge once made, but the room I kept in has not been boiling hot.
