Incredible picture
I experienced problems which I had made a review pointing out these out. My problems were sorted out very fast with the seller contacting me. It didn't seem fair mentioning them as they've been rectified and possibly not their fault. One thing I would say though is the LED holder could be better, I placed a short length of cloth tape on the end for the ring to attach to, minor complaint.

sturdy metal construction where it matters
This product is excellent it does just what it says on the tin and is very well made. the integral light is fine and achieves all thats required but the additional light suppled is largely superfluous and difficult to mount securely at the bottom of the optic tube. But a product I would recommend and buy again if necesary. All round its Excellent.

Pretty nice
First impressions are very positive. The arm is very sturdy and makes much better use of bench space than a fixed bed.The picture quality is excellent, with virtually imperceptible lag, so soldering is easy to do. The autofocus is fast and you can set it to manual or continuous auto. Manual is what you want for soldering so it doesn't refocus on the iron or your fingers as they enter the frame. Just a quick tap on the AF button when your board is in position and the focus is locked.A couple of niggles: it would be nice if the upper arm was longer than the lower one so you could fold it flat against the wall when out of use - as it is, it still takes up about 6" of depth when folded back, as the screen and bracket don't clear the lower arm. The arms are also not that long, and although this keeps the whole setup more rigid, another couple of inches would be nice. Lastly, the light ring (which again is surprisingly nice quality and much better than the built in light) attaches to the camera body with 3 screws which just pinch against the body which has a smooth slippery surface. Although the screws are nylon tipped, it is a bit nerve wracking tightening them in case you damage the camera and anyway if you knock the light ring it slips out of position. In summary, it's a very nice piece of kit. The quality of the main arm and the camera is excellent, and although it's quite pricey, you feel you're definitely getting your money's worth and are unlikely to regret it. Oh, and it looks nice too!

Powerful microscope, clear monitor and effortless autofocus
This microscope arrived in a very sturdy cardboard box with all elements nestled in foam inserts and individually wrapped, keeping everything well protected. This model has a clamp fitting into which an upright/arm is inserted. This arrangement secures the monitor/microscope and is hinged, so that you can position them where required.I affixed this to my dining table, which possibly didn't have a big enough "lip" onto which I could attach the clamp - as the entire thing drooped a bit. I reassembled the frame many times but couldn't fix the droop, I suspect attaching it to a proper workbench would solve the issue; on balance I think I'd prefer it to sit on a stand. However, the wonkiness doesn't hamper the usage, it was merely annoying on the eye!The microscope and monitor work very well together with the images on screen being very crisp and clear. The colours were accurate and the additional light ring (which attaches to the bottom of the microscope's stem by way of three pressure screws) really provides all the illumination you could need for detailed work. The instruction manual is, mostly, clear to read/understand and there is a huge host of features (most of which I haven't tested yet). Most importantly the autofocus is extremely quick and reactive making the microscope simple and intuitive to use.At £299.99, at time of review, this is an expensive piece of kit but it provides great imagery/magnification. I found assembling it a bit frustrating at points but overall if you need a powerful and easy to use microscope this would certainly meet your needs.

Really good set up for those looking to help with sight during intricate soldering
The camera output is great, and you can switch between manual and autofocus. There is virtually no lag between the camera and realtime which means something hopefully won't go bad without you knowing about it. The output is really clear, and the set up is very sturdy.
