I'd say, these are completely waterproof. I just walked in puddles that came over the top of my boots but lower then the top of my socks! My feet are completely dry. Also, the socks are nice and soft and just about the right thickness for my boots. 5 star.

They definitely kept my feet dry after falling into a 8inch bog, after sinking my boots were well wet and muddy but my feet nice and dry, happy days..they are thick though I would say allow for this in your footwear

Reading other reviews I thought these might be a problem as my skin doesn't generally like pressure - getting glasses to fit comfortably is difficult and elastic waistbands are a no. But though snug at the ankle these have been fine so far. Because of the waterproof membrane there isn't a lot of elasticity, so if your ankles are of larger girth you may find them too tight. Comfort and fit elsewhere was fine too. I tested the waterproofing by wearing them with shoes I knew leaked a little in the rain. On return the outside of the socks were damp but the inside and my feet were dry, so they seem to work. They may deserve 5* but I can't yet speak to their durability/longevity, so for now it's 4*.

Great Pair of socks, have kept my feet warm and dry, on many a dog walk, through wet grass and mud. Even with Goretex boots my feet would get saturated in a matter of minutes, but no longer the case. Felt a little odd first time on, soon got used to them and my feet have been dry since.

My husband loves them. He works in garages on cold stone/concrete floors and his feet and ankles are always freezing. Since buying these for him he says there's a huge difference. They fit well for him, bought his usual size and no problem. He's sometimes outside in all weathers and so far, dry feet. I think he'd recommend them.
