I use these for growing lettuce hydroponically inside during the heat of the summer and these are just the right size to accommodate the base of the plant and hold it securely. They are strong and sturdy and hopefully they last for years.

Fits perfectly onto a standard sized mason jar and you van even screw it into the standard mason jar lid!

Not heavy duty by any means but a good value at this price point. Wish the lip was wider.

I have a 3 inch pipe NFT system and these cups fit the contour of the pipe and stick down low enough in the pipe to have the median get moist. I use grow rope to plant the seed and allow just enough to stick out the bottom and trail in the flowing water. The rope pulls moisture to the seed and gives the plant root protection in a flowing system until it has enough strength and durability to sustain itself. My rope looks brown only because I use organic minerals in my system.

I use these in my DIY hydroponics system and they work great. They are the perfect size to hold grow plugs without any gaps, which really cuts down on algae growth in my system. I've grown over 100 heads of lettuce with them so far and have no complaints! They are well built, have a solid lip, and allow for good root growth.
