Excellent, Now Perfected Water Picture Filter Which Removes 100% of Fluoride
This is the first water pitcher filter I've had, but I think it's great. I no longer need to buy the numerous 3 L bottles of spring water I've been getting for decades, lugging them from the supermarket every week. Also, I don't have to worry about microplastics in bottled water. This water pitcher filter usually gets the best reviews of comparisons with other water filter pitchers, removing more harmful contaminants overall than the others, including fluoride, which I am particularly concerned about because I don't want to drink it, and my city, as is the case with about 80% the municipalities in the country, fluoridates their water. I sent out a sample of water filtered with my Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher specifically for a fluoride test, as several reviews that tested it said it had no detectable fluoride, but a couple others found some--in one test it only removed 33% of the fluoride and in another it actually actually increased the fluoride something like 160% over the unfiltered water, but those results were probably false readings because of the testing methods used. My results came back with no detectable fluoride, and my city, according to the testing company's data, fluoridates the water to 0.71 PPM at the water facility, and at the tap it is 0.5 PPM. I don't know of any other water filter pitcher that effectively removes fluoride like this one, except one that is said to add aluminum. The filters for this are claimed to last about twice as long as other brands, lastng about three months if the picture is filled every day. I've used the filter about two months now, although only filling the pitcher about every other day (in which case it should last six months), as I mainly use it for coffee, and although the filtration has slowed from when I first got it it's not too bad--it seems to slow more in the bottom third of water left in the reservoir. The filtered water tastes fresh and free of the taste or chlorine by-products you often get from tap water, and works very well with coffee. Because I use it for coffee, I keep the pitcher unrefrigerated on the kitchen counter, shaded from the spotlights by being stored under the shadow of cabinets and a microwave oven. I think the Clearly Filtered Water Picture it is well-made and designed, but be sure you are getting one with the newly modified reservoir that came out about a month ago, which Clearly Filtered accommodatingly sent me free as a replacement, which has two vertical ribs on the front of the reservoir to take up the space between it and the body of the pitcher; the ribs prevent the bottom of the reservoir from swiveling forward in front and raising up about a quarter of an inch above the top edge when pouring. The only downside is it makes the reservoir harder to remove, as I was afraid to pull too hard on the attached front half of the lid. As opposed to some other comments I've read, I do have confidence in the strength of the handle attachment to support the full weight of the pitcher when full. Within the last year, they redesigned the priming bag, which is now clear instead of blue, to be easier and more effective to use, and I had no problem with it. (When I first tried to remove the priming bag, for several minutes I ridiculously tried to unscrew the top rim of the filter, which is permanently attached, instead of the primer bag itself, which screws on and off easily.) The company customer service through Amazon messaging is very responsive, and as I mentioned, they sent me the improved replacement reservoir for free when it was available.

Wow I love my water now!!!
We have awful well-water and a house with original pipes from the 1960s. If you drink our tap water without first boiling it, itโll make you sick on your stomach. Therefore, we have a big office-style water cooler with 5gal jugs we refill weekly for our drinking water. But that refilled water is treated with fluoride/chlorine and has lots of nasties thanks to the crumby filtration at the water treatment plant. It tastes better than our well water, but only marginally so. This Clearly Filtered water pitcher has totally changed that! Water from our office-style water cooler now tastes pure like a mountain stream and the chlorine-ish taste is 100% gone. I am thrilled that my family is finally getting truly healthy water! Itโs impossible to have a healthy body when constantly ingesting toxic chemicals, but this sucker has changed all that for us. Yes-the replacement filters are very expensive, but my approach to healthcare and health in general is: letโs spend more on healthy foods and a healthy environment and have a truly balanced and healthy body and spend very little on conventional medicine. Pitcher is very easy to use; prime the filter (which takes like 3 min), screw it into the bottom of the upper container in the pitcher, fill the pitcher with water, and wait until the water filters through-weโve had the filter in place for a few days and it takes about 17 min to filter a whole pitcherโs-worth of water. I usually then take that filtered water and move it to a glass jar in the fridge because this filter is still plasticโฆbut Iโm assuming making it in glass would be too difficult? Wish they did have that as an option though because I would spend more for a glass option. And for those who want to know-yes, we did run a batch of our well water through this CF pitcher and-we weโre able to drink it and NOT get sick on our stomach which is amazing!!! But we will stick to using the 5gal refill in tandem with the CF pitcher for our drinking water simply because it will put less of a strain on the required filter which means weโll change it out less and theoretically save a little money. We are thrilled with this purchase. Expensive? Yes. But the quality and taste and health benefits of the outcome is so worth it.

So great!
Short of the long: this water filter/pitcher is great! It worked, was easy to use, and I didn't have any issues. I'm not new to gravity filters. I have the big 3 gallon filters that you can use with pond water. Looking at reviews, I feel like many people just aren't used to a filter that will eliminate so many things. It takes time. So let's start from the beginning... Priming the filter is really easy. Fill up, screw on the priming bag, squeeze, and repeat. I did it three times. Yes, water comes out the sides. No, it's not a big deal as long as water is coming out of the filter too. It took almost 30 minutes exactly to run the first tank of water. Not a problem at all. You cannot pour water if there's more than half the tank of water waiting to be filtered. If you do, it'll come out of the top and either mix with the filtered water or spill all over the floor. Be patient. As long as it was less than half full of unfiltered water, I didn't have an issue pouring and keeping the filtered/unfiltered water separate. Also, slow and steady. There's no reason to pour it like a 5 year old. No, this doesn't hold a ton of water at one time. It's not meant to. You'd need a bigger pitcher/system for that. The size is great for what I needed. Once I used some, I added more water to be filtered. Don't run to empty and expect to get water instantly. I actually bought this to take on vacation with me. Went through TSA in my carry-on without any issue. (They did test it at one airport because it set off the liquid warning from being a little moist still. They just use a swab to test it, and let me continue with no fuss.) I filled this up at the airport using the water filling stations then filled our empty water bottles. I wouldn't buy this solely for that purpose, but it worked since I wanted the pitcher to use at our destination. There isn't any smell to the water. The taste is great. We really loved it. Now that we're back home, I keep it in the fridge for colder water during the summer.

Hard to trust company with every excuse in the book
Started as 5 star and quickly turned to 1 after today. We have been using this filter/pitcher for around 7 months. We loved it and thought the water tasted great out of it. I am a stay at home mom with my now 2 year old and am pregnant (due in 3 weeks). We are on well water in northern illinois, it has tested clean over the years except for nitrates and low levels of pfas so we made sure to do a bunch of research to get a filter that cleans it all. Well last night after filling my sons cup i noticed a black growth in the bottom half of the pitcher. (See attached pictures). I reached out to the company out of concern and they gave me a complete run around. Saying i need to clean it at least once a month, keep in fridge and basically blamed me for all of it. I explained to them I clean about every 2 weeks and change the filter more then recommened. I have done everything and more then what they request and all they can tell me is algae can grow if we arent drinking fast enough or it could be something in our water they dont filter, or an issue with chlorine levels. (We drink all the water from it multiple times a day) They told me i could get 20% off replacement parts. I told them I would need a whole new pitcher, how can I trust that whatever was growing isnt embedded into the plastic, to which they told me isnt possible and to just clean with vinegar and water. I told them I am beyond disappointed in this response from a company claiming to help filter things FROM our water but now concerned maybe it was causing more issues with our water and things to grow. Bummed that I have to research and find a new company to work with.

I did the research. And used it.
Ok. Too many people have way too much time on their hands to post novels for reviews . . . but lucky for all of you, so do I. After reading every review I could find, positive and negative, I was skeptical but cautiously optimistic about this pitcher. I didnโt just rely on the marketing claims. I read online comparisons, reddit posts after reddit posts and I even reached out to Clearly Filtered customer service with specific questions about the design, materials, filter testing, manufacturing origin, and whether theyโve made updates in response to customer feedback. I found the answers to the questions, and now, after weeks of use (purchased June 2025), I can confidently say: many of the previous issues have been fully resolved, and this pitcher is really as good as it seems. Hereโs my take after using it for a bit: "Loose filter / top not secure" This has clearly been addressed in the current version (v3). I confirmed with customer service that the pitcher has gone through two design upgrades since launch in August of last year (both of which were based on customer feedback . . . so theyโre listening).. The filter housing now snaps firmly and securely into place. I can tilt it, pour fast, or even fill it to the brim. Nothing wobbles, nothing comes loose. Iโve also seen the videos referenced in other reviews and compared them with my unit: those design flaws are no longer present. "Lid leaks during pour" This was a concern in early versions, but itโs no longer an issue. Iโve tested mine extensively, no leaks, no overflowing. The top reservoir has been redesigned for better pressure distribution and drainage. If you pour too soon (before most of the water drains into the lower chamber), you might see a spill, but thatโs user error, not a design flaw. Pour after most of it filters, and it works flawlessly. "Feels cheaply made / thin plastic" I actually compared this side-by-side with my old ZeroWater pitcher. Yes, the Clearly Filtered pitcher is lighter, but itโs not cheap. It feel durable without all the bulkiness and the shape is perfect for the door on my fridge. Mine has already survived a minor drop without a crack so Iโm feeling pretty good about it. If I had to offer some feedback, I would suggest something to cover the pouring area so that stays clean and I havnt cleaned it yet but it seems like it might be difficult to clean under the lid. Minor, but feedback if theyre reading these. "Handle squeaks" Iโve handled mine full and empty and havenโt experienced any squeaking. I specifically asked customer service about this, and they confirmed that โwe bulked-up the handleโ was updated in the latest version. Maybe that was an early defect, but itโs definitely not the case now. And, what a weak attempt at a negative point . . . "Priming bag doesnโt work" I kinda get this frustration, but its needed for the grossly superior filtration. So just deal with it once every 4 months and move on. Itโs not that bad. The priming process is not essential every time, just for first use or after extended storage. And if done properly (slow, steady pressure), the bag works perfectly. Still not convinced? My filter worked beautifully after one proper prime, and I just did a second prime for good measure. Itโs easy. Filter Lifespan & Performance Yes, the filter is rated for 100 gallons. But unlike other brands, Clearly Filteredโs testing is third-party certified and to NSF/ANSI standards to remove more than 365+ contaminants. I called the lab they reference (yes, I really did) and they confirmed all the published results. ZeroWater doesnโt even come close (and yes, ZeroWater adds sulfites, which I want nowhere near my water). This pitcher is a major step up from my opther pitcher, and based on how theyโve handled updates so far, I expect future iterations to get even better. If youโve seen negative reviews from earlier users, know that many of those problems have already been solved. I almost didnโt buy it because of them but Iโm so glad I did the research and gave it a shot.

Good but not perfect
So far so good. I did countless hours of research on what water filter to purchase and I still havenโt found exactly what I was looking for but this comes pretty close. Most importantly it filters out the bad and keeps in the good. Water taste is delicious and Iโam very particular with water taste. I was looking for a counter pitcher for our coffee water, animal water and cooking water. Of course room temperature drinking water is preferred as well. Now to be nitpicking..I am bummed I couldnโt find all of this in a glass pitcher. Unfortunately it is still made out of plastic..hopefully good enough of medical grade that microplastics arenโt leeching into the water but plastic nonetheless. It can be a little heavy lifting it and the flow is slower than Iโm use to but not that big of an issue. I was wanting something like a gravity container with a spigot but all of those options seem to have issues. Hence going back to the tried and true pitcher format. One last complaint..which is the biggest one to knock down a star..is that there is no covering on the mouth of the clean drinking water entrance. Dust and dirt can openly enter the container and since it is on my kitchen countertop that is a concern of mine. I will use until I can find the perfect counter water filter and the water itself is good enough for me to look over the complaints.

Best product of its kind
Extremely satisfied with this product and it's performance. Knowing I'm drinking clean filtered water without the chemicals and microplastics provides the peace of mind I was seeking.

Great Filtered Water!
We are really happy with this pitcher. I read all the reviews and was a little skeptical about the handle and led - but let me tell you, I needlessly worried. This pitcher is light-weight but is sturdy and strong. I saw comments regarding the priming of the filter was awkward or some didnโt like it, but it was really simple. I mean, you have to rinse and prime any other filters for water bottles, so this didnโt bother me to have to do it. The actual filtering is a slow process, but one we are happy with for the exceptional quality of water we get. The taste is amazing, we no longer smell the horricfic chlorine in our drinking water and we can rest a little easier knowing that the fluoride and other crap in our supposedly safe city water is gone. We truly wish this came in a bigger option as we drink a LOT of water daily and would really like to use this for all of our cooking, too. Weโll try - waiting on it to filter wonโt always be feasible, though. The only con to this pitcher is that I wish it had a way to cover the pour opening as we leave it out on our counter (we go through so much water that leaving it out isnโt a concern for us) but weโd like to know little gnats or maybe a stray fly that makes it in isnโt crawling around on the opening. Other than that, we are extremely happy with the overall quality of the pitcher - and the water we get!

Better taste and better for you
I noticed a difference in the taste and seems to be some of the best filtering possible that still leaves the good minerals.

Expensive but the best
I wish this filter were cheaper. Iโve been using these filters for two years, and the improvement in water quality is noticeable. I researched the brand and found that independent labs have verified its effectiveness. Each filter lasts up to six months, making it a great value despite the price.
