MoellerMarine Conversion Capsule from Mechanical to Electrical Dash Mounted Fuel Gauge (35-40 Ohm's)

Easy wire-up. Perfect fit. Mechanical pointer works. Between the actual gauge and this sender unit there is a yet to be identified problem causing the gauge to be nonfunctional. A call to Moeller got no response so far but will try again in a few days. The packaging that the sender and gauge are in is not sealed so hard to tell if on or the had previously been installers or returned with no reason. A bit frustrating but I am sure there is a solution. I will see what Moeller suggests. UPDATE: Working perfectly. Both the Moeller fuel gauge and the this sending unit were both fine. The problem was that the fuel sender circuit feed from my engine harness only puts out 1.5V and these units require 12V+/-. I changed the positive input to a 12V lead and all is well. After year so having to look under an interior cushion on my boat to get a look at the mechanical fuel gauge I now have an electronic fuel gauge located right next to the engine controls - a big improvement in convenience.

This is the second boat I have converted the direct read fuel gauge to a remote one. The product works great, and is easy to install. Just matched up one of Moeller's (Tempo, same thing) 2" gauge, and installed where convenient.

Ordered this remote capable gauge to replace my original that died resulting in the remote meter going crazy. A nice direct replacement fit and fixed the problem.

This works fine. It's not quite as "fluid" as the manual gage, but I have a shallow tank on my four wins runabout, so when it starts to show below ½ tank, it's time to fill up.

I used this on an articulated wheel loader that had a direct sight gauge. Easy to hook up took all of 15 min. and can still use it as a direct sight if needed. Worth the money!

Easily mounted. Unable to find a schematic for the changeout, I went ahead and undid the two screws of the old mechanical guage, and behold it came out, revealing that it sat in a basin, and is otherwise unattached. I was worried that I may have to pull the unit out from the tank, which I didn't, and so the gasket kit I bought was not required. Wired it to the guage, and now the fuel level can easily be read.

Couldn't be easier to install and allows for dual reading on tank gauge and dash gauge. This sneder was more expensive than installing a universal tank sending unit but worth every cent. Its nice to know that in the event of a fuel gauge failure that tank gauge readings will still be available.

Very nice gauge. Allows visual tank level monitoring and provides an electrical signal to my existing tank gauge. A simple screw in replacement with tabs that index it into place on the new Moeller gauge so that there is no guesswork as to where it should be oriented. A simple crimp of a new electrical connector and it connected right up to the dash gauge. It uses a magnet to interface to the Moeller float in the tank so there was no need to open up the tank. I could not be more pleased!!! ++++
