Certainly under an hour. The instructions were very clear and showed the best order to do it. It's a one-person job, too - no need for anyone else to hold things in position. **Q: Do 30cmx30cm cubes fit in the holes** A: Not quite - to be sure to fit, I'd say 29.5W x 29.5H x 30 deep - the wire frames are spaced 30cm, so the wires take some space. **Q: Would these be big enough to hold clothes?** A: We use them for stock, folded shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, boilersuits. It's all new stock we have and mostly all are pre-folded by the manufacturers. If it is using your own clothes they would need to folded to suit the size of the cube. I have made three separate units from it (bought extra connectors). One is used on the side as one square box to keep the dogs toys in for him to access, one is tall (1x4 squares) in the kitchen with pans in each box, and the last one is a staggered shelf unit under the stairs that I use as a display shelf. The units are easy to assemble and get creative with. The only thing would be the durability - as the unit can't hold a lot of weight and would probably fall to bits if knocked forcefully. But that's down to the design as they're not made for that purpose!
